If Belichick were here, I think we'd be using Turpin a lot like Amendola, Welker or Edelman, with lots of rub routes to make it difficult for DBs to keep track of him among the giants.
We don't allow speculation here.

Not sure if it's true but someone in the comments section of an Athletic article today mentioned that he heard on Cowboys radio that Turpin had recently been fitted for contact lenses, and that the poor vision had contributed to drops early in his career with the Cowboys.

The commenter also questioned how in the heck it took Dallas so long to determine the guy had a vision problem.

I didn't listen to the Cowboys radio segment but maybe someone here had heard it mentioned.

I heard Sham and the pregame guys talking about that last week. Apparently Turpin's vision wasn't just a little off, it was terrible. Turpin said he couldn't even see the ball on punt returns until it got really close to him. Sham said it was one of the more amazing stories he'd ever heard -- how in this day and age can a pro athlete have vision that bad for that long and nobody catch it?

It’s shocking they can’t find ways to get him the ball more and let him use his speed in open space.
Yes it is. Here we have the "speed" we've been lacking and crying about for a few seasons now and the team barely utilizes him. Whats worse is that we can literally see how dynamic Turp is anytime he has the ball in his hands, in open space like you suggested.

It should be criminal how McCarthy is using this player. Just his 2nd slant for the whole year. A lot of what is wrong with Dak and the offense is because of McCarthy. Be so glad when he's hopefully gone next season. How can the players even get up for games anymore
