Good news! Sopcast's site is back up and let me start a new account. So I created a new channel and should be able to handle everyone that wants to watch. Sopcast worked great in the early parts of the seson til they shut me down. I guess we'll just have to get the channel info out via PM's!

hook me up bro?

Stupid Giants, but we have been getting spoiled lately. Oh well I guess it's going to be
.....................Hello Glory Days.......................,
hope I can get a stool seat and belly up to the bar right in front of the huge projection screen.

I have never understood how the FOX affiliate in DC doesn't show Dallas every time there's no conflict with the Skins. Half the area is Dallas fans.

Hey r u hitting the Glory Days in Bowie? That's my spot

No game for me here in Los Angeles. 1st game this season I'll miss so far. I was hoping I'd cash in on the Rams being originally from here.

A few years ago the local Fox affiliate shoved 49ers games down our throats. I finally called and asked what the heck and the guy said that whenever they didn't do the "Fox Game of the Week Poll" for that week he pretty much got to pick whatever game he wanted. He then mentioned he was a 49er fan. I couldn't believe I was at the mercy of this dumb *******.

When I grow up (I'm 37) I'll probably cough up the coin for the NFL package and never miss a game again.

Sports bars people, sports bars...

so, i've never gone to a sports bar before, and might go this week if we don't get the game. how does that work? I'll be by myself. Sit at the bar or at a table?

Come on down and bring Jeb with you ;)

Shame, no love for the Cowboys this week in the DC area. Though I kinda understand the network going with the Giants because they have gotten almost no airplay here this season. It's been the Giants, who? Crickets chirping. I don't recall the last time the Giants got so little airtime. Super Bowl champions, top of their division and still no love. What's a team gotta do...:laugh2:

Hey, does anyone know if DirecTV still lets people purchase NFL Ticket for a day? I did this a couple of years ago when I was desperate to see the Cowboys. I think the charge was about $25, if I recall correctly.

I'm pretty sure they don't do that anymore.

I do know that they have it for about 50.00/month for 5 months (with all available games in HD for free, unlike the 35.00 they used to charge for them). Last year I paid nearly 450.00 for the whole season!

I'm shocked that DC doesn't get it but Richmond and the Hampton Roads in Virginia gets the game. I know there are Giant fans in DC but not nearly as much as Cowboy fans. The funny thing is that the Dallas area gets Cleveland and Washington on CBS late game. Oh well. Time to watch it on stoogetv.

The map is wrong for the Richmond area. Local Fox and Direct TV show Richmond with the NYG game.

1st time this year I'll need to watch it on Sunday Ticket. No High Def but at least I get something outta the $250 I shell out for the ticket. Almost wish I got it on High def on cable and the ticket is just an insurance policy.

Actually, I should say the 2nd time I needed it. One game ran late on my local Fox cable channel (Jets-Arizona) because they kept the game on when Bolden got hurt, so I would have missed the 1st quarter if it wasn't for NFL ticket :)

Darn, it's computer watching for me. I knew I should have gotten a larger monitor before this season.

I think DirecTV still offers a deal for new service and upgrades to HD. Subscribers signing up for NFL Sunday Ticket can get the DirecTV Premier package free for 4 months. Free DVR service (not sure how many months) and an HD DVR upgrade is included.

I think the special ends at the end of this month. I need to jump on it because my Dad already has the Premier package and needs to upgrade his service to HD anyway. Just won't happen in enough time for this weekend.
