There are some really good TVs that don't have HD. I love my HDTV, but I've also got a 27" Phillips TV that I think shows just as clear a picture considering it doesn't have HD.

The thing is. Unless its a big screen, I don't think an HD Television is that much better than a regular television.

But when you start getting bigger TV's and the pixels get spread out further and further than HD looks absolutely incredible.

42 inches and up are where its at right now for HD televisions imo.

1080p is only really visible on screens 56 inches and up and you have to be back at least 6 feet. other wise it just like looking at 720p/1080i or something like that

My folks 52 inch, RCA, Projection style TV started looking kinda funky yesterday morning.

It looks like the screen has been stretched out. Almost like i'm watching TV inside of a fish bowl or something.

Does anyone know what can be done to fix it? If I go get it repaired for them does anyone have an idea of how much im looking to spend?
