some teams are finally figuring out that Jaylon Smith has marginally average pass coverage skills, he doesn't have the knack and natural instincts for it and that doesn't go with
limited lateral movement. He can be exposed in coverage. And forget INTs, he's just not that kind of play on the ball type.

And that's not good news for a guy that's supposed to be a captain, making that much money, so we cannot pull him on nickel pass downs.
He seems to operate best when he is well-schemed as a forward moving blitzer but he's not being schemed well as he is stone walled most time he blitzes.

but he is also really having his issues in space, he and Xavier should have made that tackle on Patterson on 3rd and 9, that sprung for 33 yrd screen pass.

I'm concerned that Jaylon won't be that much better than a Bradie James.

We really have drafted three outside linebackers with JS, Lee and LVE, need a different type in the middle.
