Twilight of an adequate player

With every day that passes and Ellis does not show up to practice or play, his tenure comes a bit closer to ending.

Don't feel sad for Ellis. He was, by NFL standards, an adequate player at best. In Dallas he was somewhat of a sturdy player, a star because he has kept his mouth shut and been a team leader and stayed out of trouble.

Then he got injured. Then he started running his mouth. Then he declared himself fit for TC and the season and ...guess what, he wasn't.

Then he was cleared to practice. Then Wade rules him out.

What a character. A marginal player -- those with man crushes will say "He led the team in sacks! Blah-blah-blah!"

That was then.
This is now.

Release the god-awful speciman of a has-been. he cant help this relatively young team. he can ony hold back the young 'uns.

He's insecure, thinks he's underpaid, can't perform and yes, he came back too early. But that was his decision.

Let him ride into the sunset.
Tired of that old goat.
Tired of his whining
Tired of his yes I will no I won't.

Let's look to the future, not the past.
Throw him out, let him coach somewhere. Let him retire. let him rehab and then command billions from another team. yeah right.

Just get him away from this team that doesn't need him.

And before you with man crushes on him chime in: "he can help us down the stretch and spell Spencer!"
Yeah, right. And Bill Bates was the fastest man to play in the secondary and pigs will fly over DFW.

Good night, Ellis. Turn out the light on this adequate player, cause that will be his legacy.

OK, let's gather to shed a tear for him:

He was a good player not a great player like one would expect from the top 10 pick he was. If he was a 3rd rounder peopel would gush over him.

Jeffcoat 102 sacks.
Ellis 56.5 sacks.

And Jeffcoat was drafted in 1983. Ellis was drafted in 1998. Will some team offer Ellis more money in 2010?

Jeffcoat was better than Ellis.

And JJ could command money -- any type money -- while Ellis cannot as he hobbles around and feels sorry for himself.

Best-case scenario: Ellis rehabs the rest of the year and comes back to coach somewhere else.

As a player, stick a fork in him because he is done, done, done. Wish it were not so, but that is the reality

I believe Ellis has one good run left in him

Personally I would like to see him in the 2nd half of season

He can help

He has got a chance to get something Moss probably gets.... a SB ring
