Needless to say it was WAY ahead of its time in the eighties/nineties but now a lot of shows are heavily borrowing its surrealist theme in many suspense thrillers.
The show ended in 1991 with Laura Palmer saying she would see the Cooper in 25 years and they are ready to start casting and filming again. Awesome.

Not really, but just because my brain doesn’t work that way. I’ve always said that Twin Peaks to me was like a novel we filmed every page of. So this is more like we found another volume of the saga, and now we want to bring that to life too.
