Excuses me if I missed this..I looked around the pages. I don’t believe this..they resigned Brown.. at all but it’s not a Dak thread so it’s a gift to the board. Enjoy

I think we’re on record saying we want good players and not body types.

This sort of thing never used to happen around here, though. I’m not sure why it’s becoming an issue all of a sudden.

While that is all good and well, there are some factors that might bring about apprehension at such a move. For starters, the absence of Jones leaves a gaping hole at one of the outside corner positions. There are some who have faith that recently drafted Trevon Diggs can step in and handle that spot, but moving Awuzie would once again leave a hole. Despite the great affinity fans have for Jourdan Lewis, he is not the answer on the outside. The last time Mike McCarthy’s Green Bay Packers team played the Cowboys, the game was won on a final drive where Davante Adams straight up abused Lewis. And if you’re thinking about moving Anthony Brown to the outside and Lewis taking over the slot, think again because that experiment has already been tested and it didn’t work out so well either. As good as both Brown and Lewis are in the slot, they are equally bad on the outside.

If anyone is banking on low-cost free agents Daryl Worley or Maurice Canady to hold down the starting outside corner job, that seems rather optimistic as it wouldn’t be all that surprising if neither of these guys made the final roster when it is all said and done.

Because Jason was so terrible as a HC. Whole system was a clusterfudge.

A sign on the facility that nobody has been going into anyway? Is Owning being sarcastic?

I think Chris Harris said this just to make it seem teams don’t covet smaller corners. In reality he wanted too much

Even if they were dumb enough to limit players based on a single physical trait, I would think they'd realize that height doesn't dictate reach or range.
You could be a long-necked, short-armed dude, after all.

The LEAGUE-WIDE prototype for corners includes preferences for height and length. Obviously there are exceptions to the rule, but any team is gonna ideally want a 6’0+ corner.

Hence why in the draft they ding guys for being sub-6 foot. It’s not just a Dallas thing.

Also why are they acting like Brown isn’t a slot CB? 5’11 there is more than big enough. Not to mention a 4.3 forty.

Yeah, they differentiate between outside CBs & slot guys. I wouldn't be surprised if Brown, Awuzie, Lewis all have to compete inside with Awuzie being a nickel safety possibility.

Whoever wrote this piece needs to go back and watch the game, and learn what constitutes abuse on the corner. Lewis broke up a pass to Adams then ARod went back to Adams on the and next play they got it done, on a "Rookie".
1. That's freacking Aaron Rodgers
2. That's freaking Davante Adams
3. 7 rec. 66 yards isn't abuse
4. Adams n ARod abuse CBs nearly every Sunday their both Top 10 in the league, and Rookie stayed with him.

Now, I did hear the interview of Al Harris and I heard an interview from Will McClay and they want 6ft. CBs no doubt about it, and that's cool but I have a few questions.

1. When has Will McClay ever drafted a really good CB over 6ft.? *(Draft Byron to be a FS)

2. What good is it if a guy is 6ft., and trash? These guys are drafting measurements.

Contradiction has already started...Big Mike said he just wants good players while Will n Al just want 6ft. CBs, good CBs aren't always 6'0 200. The only guy they brought in that's worth a crap out of 5 CBs is Diggs. The rest aren't better than the guys under 6ft. on the roster.
1. Savion Smith, Who?
2. Maurice Canaday, career STs guy.
3. Daryl Worley, nuff said.
4. Reg Robinson, 6-1, 205 doesn't know how to play CB = KP (S/O to Galloway)

I'm about getting good players not measurements. I really like Diggs cause he can play.

Drive-by alert: Chris Westry is one of the worst CBs I've seen in a minute, but he's 6'4 so he must be a player, right?

People say a lot of things. Every CB we brought in this year is 6-1 or over.

Good share guy, discussion is what we all should be about here...not agendas. Thanks, I enjoyed your imput...I'll now pay attention to your direction.

He is about to tell you that Garrett is not what the thread is about. Because he is too embarrassed to get into a Garrett conversation. For obvious reasons. :muttley:
