Bill Bates just let me know that he coached Mario Butler at Nease HS in Florida.

I've asked him to tell me about him.

BTW, he said this makes him feel old.

Apparently Nease HS was a Florida State Champion while Bates was there.

He is big for a corner. Very athletic. I did not follow him much at GA Tech. Because, I was following my own boys! I know he is physical and he has great determanation. It will be tough for him with such a short time for him to make the team!!! The lock out made it difficult for the coaches to truely evaulate players, but the preseason games will be his only chance...

For those who do not know Bates and his wife had triplets and 2 of them were boys. Graham plays football at Arkansas State. Hunter plays at Northwestern.
