I'm mixed on the whole thing. Yeah a better back up would be nice, but it really depends on the situation. If Dak misses significant time we are toast anyway, so may as well ride it to a better draft pick.

Why are you trying to rain on Rush's parade here? What he did last year for us against the Vikings was great. He lead this team to victory without having 100 yards of rushing support. That's been unheard of lately in Dallas. Give him his credit.

Whenever I'm talking about QBs I always say they "lead" the team.

For example... "The Dak lead Cowboys have done nothing in the past 6 year".... ya know... because it's true and the QB is the one that leads, or is supposed to at least.

Or "The Cooper Rush lead Cowboys recorded their only win in 2021 without 100 yards of rushing support".

Like that.

Can you stop raining on the Rush parade? Grier should have that job and everyone knows it, but give Rush his flowers.

There's no "rush" to add him to the 53 and drop someone. If somebody gets injured in practice before the game, and has to go on IR, your roster move is made for you.

Rush was not subject to waivers and had a deal in place to be the backup QB. Grier could have been claimed in which case Dinucci would be on the PS in his place. I think they played it well and are protecting a young player they don’t want to lose. The next player that goes on IR will mean Rush is added to the roster.
