NFL.com has Chaisson ranked 6. As far as production goes Kinlaw is the one they thought should have had better production given his physical tools.

1 Young 7.37
2 Okudah 7.15
3 Brown 7.11
4 Simmons 7.08
5 Burrows 7.07
6 Chaisson 6.88
7 Wills 6.85
8 Tagovailoa 6.82
9 Lamb 6.81
10 Jeudy 6.8

Overview
For a player with so many elite physical traits, Kinlaw's tape was much more inconsistent than expected.
He had moments where he was able to use his size, length and power to overwhelm opponents, but poor pad level and an inability to harness his energy coming off the snap led to body control and balance issues that prevented him from reaching his full potential. He can be a disruptive force along the interior with that explosive first step and freaky physical gifts, but utilizing his heavy hands and plus length as a read-and-react 3-4 end might allow for improved technique, control and consistency. No matter the front, Kinlaw's traits and potential could make him a solid starter early in his career.

I really hope this is what they are thinking,Quinn will be atmost 2 years. We cant pass up on a good passrusher because we have Quinn.

I’m just saying this has is how the franchise has operated traditionally. They expect their first rounders to be starters.

Maybe it will be different under the new regime.

I doubt it though because we simply have too many spots across the roster to double down at a position that wouldn’t be a glaring need (DE) presuming we resign Quinn.

I am intrigued by Chaisson though.

Look at the guys that go JUST before we pick.

There seems to be a serious drop right at the number.

Yea, that win against the Commanders in week 17 knocked us from the #14 slot. We may have lost out on 3 "perfect fit" prospects.

Ugh, Ruggs one before us to Phi? Gross. I like Chaisson alright, not unhappy with the pick but agree with those who would attempt a trade up for Kinlaw/Okudah maybe even brown if he falls past the top 10.
