My thoughts on the game yesterday:

1. Congrats to Garrett. He finally found his walnuts. He finally played NOT TO LOSE. And got Dez moving around and into the game from the start. It made all the difference. Roll outs were a key to the game. This was the big difference in the game last week and this week. Loved the on sides kick. If he had done that last week we would be and should be 2-0.

2. Prescott is unreal. For being a rookie, this kid plays like a 5 year vet. Never seen a rookie, other than Marino play this well out of the gate. Im not sure some of you understand how lucky we really are. I stand by my comment that this franchise is better off if this kid is so good that Romo never plays another down. If anyone is not on the Dak bandwagon after this game, there is no hope for you.

3. Zeke looks bad. Im not just talking about stats, he just doesnt look good. Im not giving up on him, but I'm not seeing any great moves. He seems to just want to run over people. He has that one spin move, but thats about it so far. I am very disappointed. Just another reason why taking a back with the 4th pick is just plain dumb.

4. I know they made a few plays this week, but Cousins basically handed us this game. He missed a few easy passes that would have gone for TD's. That pick in the endzone? This defense is bad, real bad. Every bit as bad as I thought they would be. NO way we do much damage with this defense. Maybe we sneak into the playoffs, but thats about it.

5. If it wasnt for Dak Prescott, this would have been one of the worst off seasons in recent history. That being said, because of Dak I am enjoying this season as much as I have in a long time.

I'm not sure if Zeke is not out of shape, or a bit heavy?? He did pretty well yesterday, but something seems weird. I'm giving him a pass because he's a rookie.

For the defense. For what they are I have to give major props to Marinelli. To muck the onside kick and then only give up 3, and then after the fumble to only give up 3 was huge! That won us the game IMO.

I've been on the Dak bandwagon since he got drafted. I have documented proof of that. However, I'm not ready to anoint him ahead of Romo. We have our Russell Wilson, but Romo is a top 6 QB in this league, and I'm not ready yet to give Dak the nod, even though he has played like a top 12 QB in his first two games. I need to see more, but man, he is something special.

Remember our last 4th round QB pick? Stephen McGee? Smh

The bold is simply wrong, and not one knowledgeable football person anywhere is saying this. The playbook is about 40 percent open right now. If Romo can still play, this team is MUCH more dynamic with him right now. Dak needs time to learn still.

Hey Homer.....................Prescott is a Cowboy so stop getting so offended. Prescott is absolutely amazing. I am sorry if that hurts your Romo panties. Its the best thing for this franchise. AND.............EVERYONE is saying it. Unless you dont watch television. National media are already saying that if Prescott continue to play this way that Romo should stay on the bench.

Even though my personal opinion is that Jones will play Romo anyway.

If I am Garrett I make the statement this week that I am the coach and ball control is premium. Sit the rookie, mix him in, but Alfred should start. Never should have given Zeke the job anyway. You don't replace a proven vet until you earn it.

I would prefer to watch DAK keep playing but I cant see Jerry or Garrett telling Romo he cant play when he's ready

Zeke will look a lot better when Romo returns or defenses begin to fear Dak. Until then Zeke will continue to run with 8-9 men in the box. Also we all just assumed he was going to come in and light the NFL up, that's not his fault. He will improve immensely, just give it time.

Ezekiel showed growth from week 1 to week2 . The game will get slower, he will get in sync with the line and than its a wrap. He missed some opportunities yesterday but he also was patient on some runs and got big gains. No excuses he should be in shape by now, he's going to break out very soon. Morris definitely needs more carries

on some level it would feel like a slap in the face after everything Romo gave to the team

If we are winning, what is the point of putting Romo in? For me, I just dont see it. Now if this team is 500, then maybe you put him back in there when he is completely healthy.

Dak is exceeding everyone's expectations. That is great to see and great for this team moving forward. But he is no where near the QB that Romo is at this point. He would be so much better if he is allowed to sit and learn from Tony. When Tony is healed up and ready, he should play. This is his team and he is the best QB on this team. Now, as much as I love me some Romo and I want him to get his ring... another injury and I think it is over for him. But until that point, this is his team and he should and will play when ready. But very excited by what I see in Dak.

My concern is not even with who takes the snaps. What are we going to do about our pass rush??

The longer Romo is out and Dak keeps playing well the harder it will be for Romo to get back in there. I have a feeling he is going to heal quicker than people think, he ain't going to be out 8 weeks. Romo knows he is in trouble with his job.
