I like them both. Harris as the future replacement for Newman and Gilchrist as the future FS. Doubt we get both but it would be nice.

Second round: CB Brandon Harris (Miami)
Bill Belichick spent time with Harris on campus during his annual scouting trip to Florida. The biggest knocks on him are size (5-9, 191) and a lack of interceptions last season (1). On the flip side, the Pro Football Weekly draft preview calls him a "confident, competitive, instinctive, physical corner with a balanced skill set."

Third round: S/CB Marcus Gilchrist (Clemson)
A team captain, the 5-foot-10, 195-pound Gilchrist could fit on the corner or safety, and also has experience returning kicks. The Pro Football Weekly draft preview noted he's a player who "knows everyone's assignment and can line up a defense." Those characteristics figure to be appealing to the Patriots.

My only issue with these two guys are there size. The only thing our secondary is missing, in my mind, is a guy who can battle with the bigger receivers particularly those who are currently on the Giants roster.

some of the best CBs in the game today are the same size

I like everything I've read on Gilchrist. Sounds like a smart, tough, talented player.

I like Harris, don't like Gilchrist much at all. He's a guy that tested pretty well but doesn't have a defined position at the next level. I think he's pretty tenative at times in the secondary. I see him very much as JAG.

Give me Curtis Brown in the 3rd round over Gilchrist.

In Brown you have CB with great size (length) and athletic ability and one that I see continuing to develop. He plays agressively and has the hips to play the slot and develop into a strong #2 CB. He reminds me a bit of Tramon Williams and Dominique Rodger-Cromartie.

Agreed. I'm not saying there is no such thing as a small good corner. All I'm saying is across the board on our current secondary, we are a bit below average in terms of height and I would like to see the Cowboys rectify that.
