Two glaring issues

This is kind of a cop out. Brown was horrendous. And he's never shown himself to be a starting caliber CB. He's a good depth guy. Other QBs will pick on him and be quite successful at it. I suspect the Chargers and Herbert will go after him often and early.

If they can't find a solution there, this team is going to give up a lot of points.

They have to figure something out and soon. When will Joseph be ready to play.

If Brown plays poorly, we have 3 legitimate candidates to replace him by the end of this season.

Don't waste any more time. Move Lewis outside or put Canady in there until Joseph is back and shows he can hold the position.

At this point I’d just run a rotation, and whoever sucks less can play more. We already know it’s probably not brown

I am a big fan of playing backups and giving the job to whoever delivers. Not every position, but CBs are among the best candidate positions. Maybe the best.

Wonder if a certain loud mouth on here will want to continue pretending Brown is going to be good and hiding behind his Dan Quinn knows more than a fan schtick he pulled all week. We need a CB and we need one badly. When a guy has been proven to not be good it isn't likely to change. ow some fans can be so blind to what is right in front of their face is mind boggling
I was almost about to say get out of here with that RW11 avy

Tom Brady, a 7x champ with a Top-5 quickest release times in the NFL, didn't feel much pressure?

I'm SHOCKED!!!!

Most accurate thread I’ve seen on CZ in a while.

Not having a 2nd starting level corner is a disaster. That’s why they were so desperate for Surtain or Horn. In some ways, hard to blame the front office. I guess they could have traded up if it was possible.

And Gregory seems more like a guy you’re happy when he gives you something than a guy you count on. (Plus none of the DTs are any good)

Well Tampa did lose arguably the best CB early in the game.............

Brown is a bad CB. It's actually a pretty big deal because the better teams on our schedule will pick on him over and over. He's a problem.

I am sure he will get beat by some WR's. That seems to be the way the league is going. If our lIneman only touch the qb once, and only get 4 or 5 pressures to make them throw bad passes, we are going to see repeats.

Our WR's our going to destroy all CB's across the league, so I don't know what you think about that.

Well three if you count the K who cost us the win.

CB opposite Diggs is a big problem. Brown was abused all night. Good teams will pick on him over and over. They may have to move Lewis outside or put Canady there or even try Wright.

The DL is a problem still. Forget the run game, this DL just can't generate any pressure. Brady rarely felt any real pressure. The DTs get little push. I have defended him in the past but at some point we may have to admit Lawrence isn't really that good of a pass rusher. I think he's a solid all around guy, defends the run well but he needs to be a terror on the edge and he is not.

The way this game went tonight is likely how many of our games against better teams will go. Dak and the O are going to have to score a lot of points this year.

If you noticed, Brown was a ghost in the second half. He has the speed of Newman and the skills of Awuzie.

Yeah that was the problem. Our awesome pass rush just couldn't sniff him because he got the ball out in 1 second.

This team just lacks talent along the DL. Quinn is going to likely have to get aggressive with his LBs at some point or teams are going to air it against us all day long IMO.

Yep, totally agree about Lawrence, he’ll make a big play and then disappear for long stretches, dline gets no push, cowboys oline gets thrown into the backfield almost every play

Their terrible play was why we couldn’t run the ball at all. Terrible late game penalties.
Tampa had the top rated defense last year, only giving up 80 yds a game. No Martin tonight, and you think we could have run the ball against those front 7? Ask Dak if he thinks they played awful lol

Our WRs are going to have to destroy other CBs because with the way our DL and CB play is opposite Brown, we are going to have to score some points this year to win games.

If they were a decent OL yes, Williams was especially awful.

I don't disagree.

But to be somewhat positive, at least we weren't ran over in this game like we were pretty getting done in every game last year.

Baby steps man.

Agreed. Too bad we wasted another 2nd round pick on a project CB who definitely is not starter material at this point.

I still have nigh sweats over that Browns game last year.
