Does Ed 'Too Tall' Jones belong in Cowboys Ring of Honor? Fan starts petition to get him there

One Cowboys fan spotted a major omission in the Dallas Cowboys Ring of Honor and has decided to fix it.

For 15 years, Ed "Too Tall" Jones was a key to the Dallas Cowboys' defense. He was one of the faces of the unit through the 1970s and '80s.

The defensive lineman racked up 57.5 sacks in his career, which is even more impressive when you consider sacks weren't counted until halfway through his playing days (unofficially, he had 106).

Now, a fan has started a ***BLOCKED*** petition to try to get Jones into the Ring of Honor.

Put Ed "Too Tall" Jones in the Dallas Cowboys Ring of Honor

We believe that Ed "Too Tall" Jones is long over due to be inducted into the Dallas Cowboys Ring of Honor and ask Jerry Jones to include him.

• Fifteen years as a Dallas Cowboy
• 106 Unofficial sacks
• He had 13 sacks in 1985 at age 34 and 10 sacks in a strike-shortened 1987 season at 36 years old.
• 224 games played
• 20 playoff games
• Was the impetus for creating the stat tracking balls batted down
• three time All Pro
• Three Time Pro Bowler
• Super Bowl Champion.

It's past time to recognize his place among the all time greats of the Dallas Cowboys.
