The only positive surprise I can think of was Lawrence.

I can think of a lot more than two negative surprises, but Zeke and the O-line are at the top of the list. I know we've faced two tough defenses, but yesterday's game was an eye opener. Watching Zeke hit a brick wall every single time he touched the ball was not expected. 2 games into the season, and I'm suddenly worried about the running game. That is crazy.

Positives - It was so comically bad that it was entertaining. Reminded me of the Campo years.

Negatives - It was so comically bad that it reminded me of the Campo years.

Byron only good role is to cover TE that are not very athletic, you match him against a Jordan Reed or Jimmy Graham he will get exposed. He's the most soft FS in the league, can't tackle to save his life.
Price being paid for drafting a guy that skyrocketed up the draftboards based solely on some freaky numbers at the combine.

I'm curious to know if the team will pick up his 5th year option. Having both Byron Jones and Jeff Heath on the back end of the secondary is asking for trouble, I'm curious to see more of Xavier Woods.

Broaddus is horrible as a scout. Bradie James )was an all-pro the LB. .

I 'd take a B James right now

James was the first player to lead the Cowboys in tackles for more than three straight seasons, eventually reaching a total of six consecutive years, the longest streak in franchise history.[1] He also had a streak of 5 straight seasons with at least 100 tackles, that ended after the 2010 season.

He only missed two games in his Cowboys career (because he was deactivated as a rookie)

Demarcus Lawrence is a full on War Daddy right now.

I can't believe i'm saying that either because I've completely given up on the guy.

BTW, Taco was selected in the same area as him and look how long it's taken Lawrence to show these type of skills.

That's true on the draft slot comparison. But I think Taco is quite a bit slower than Lawrence. Taco's game is power and he is facing guys now who are, on average, much stronger than the guys he faced in college. He may end up being OK as he gets in an NFL weight room. But I doubt he ever makes an honest living at RDE.

Xavier Woods appears to be dumb as a post based on his special teams play. That lunacy around the goal line was completely moronic. I am actually dumber for having watched that play. That's how stupid it was.

Additionally the blocking is atrocious on returns. Switzer might as well be back there smoking a cigarette when the ball is punted to him. He has almost zero chance of making any sort of return.
