1. Can Victor Butler save the 09' draft class?

2. Is Igor Olshansky "starting" in the preseason because the Cowboys want to showcase him to other teams in a possible trade?

Like to hear your thoughts...

1. Single handedly...no. But I'll take what I can get, and Butler seems like a really good player!

2. I would love for this to be true...and it's possible I suppose, but I just don't know what team out there would be interested in trading for him. I think he has a better chance of being cut than being traded.

2 is just silly. Who is going to trade for Igor Olshansky? Come on man.

I'll give ya two hints: He likes cupcakes and looks like the Pillsbury Doughboy.

His contract is very tradable. He's in the last year of his deal.

With the possibility of Brandon Williams not making the team this season the only person who can save that draft is Stephen Mcgee.

John Phillips was in that draft class I believe.

John Phillips was a nice late round pick, but the Roy Williams trade didn't even give it a chance. And then we drafted....Brewster.

It will take more than a couple of hits to make up for that 'dirty dozen',,, the sequel is never as good as the original, eh?

Actually, he has another year after this one (signed a 4 year deal before the '09 season). But that actually makes him more tradeable, because it's a relatively modest deal.

You sure? I'm almost positive he's in the last year of his deal?

EDIT: You're right. I believe we would save $2.5 million by trading or cutting him this year.
