Two questions regarding Demarco Murray

1. Is this the final year of his contract?

2. If so, would he even want to sign another one in Dallas?

I believe it is, and if I were Murray I would not sign in Dallas. I would want to go to a team that is serious about running the football. After finally getting Murray healthy, the coaching staff flat out disrepects what he can do for this offense and this team. If I were Murray that's how I would look at it. I think that ,based on his frustration, that's how he sees it too.

I think he will finish with 1,100-1,200 yards this year, then find anoither place to play. Then Jerry will have to start from scratch yet again at the RB spot.

No,

7/28/2011: Signed a four-year, $2.97 million contract. The deal included a $662,000 signing bonus. An annual $25,000 workout bonus is available throughout the life of the deal. 2013: $620,313, 2014: $755,469, 2015: Free Agent

Give me a bruising short yardage back in draft or FA, a coach who will commit to the run and keep the same scheme, and extend Murray. This would make me a very happy guy.

I don't think Murray is a perfect back and I do think he has a tendency to leave yards on the field, but in this scheme with a blocking FB, Murray has been absolutely dominant when given the opportunity. I think he is really beginning to understand this scheme and I see him being more and more patient, looking for cutback lanes. He needs someone who can take 5-10 carries a game though and punish the defenders, making them a little bit slower through the holes.

If I were him, I wouldn't sign another contract in Dallas...I would go somewhere that, you know, actually likes to run the football.

Having said that, those teams are few and far between. Being the feature back on a passing team might be better than his other options.

Thanks. I'm glad he has another year to go, because otherwise Jerry would be looking for another RB.

He might very well finish with over 1,200 yards because both Washington and Philly do not stop the run!

Just checked the stats.

Rushing attempts this year we are #31. (295 or 21 per game)

Rushing yards this year we are #23.

Yards per carry this year we are tied with 4 other teams for #4 in the league. Do you think Callahan or Garrett know this??? Give me a FB and follow the roadgraders!!! We played right into GB's hand.

Damn, they don't even have to like running the football, go to a place that will run it when you have a 7 YPC AVERAGE!!!!!!!!! You know, somewhere where there are even average coaches who are not so completely blind that they do not continue to do what is working just so they can feed their own egos. I cannot comprehend how stupid these coaches are for not running the ball, my brain can literally not wrap itself around the fact that we did not run the ball when the run was working better than the pass. I haven't gotten over it or calmed down, I am still furious.

Funny how everyone was calling him out earlier..

Now this is just my opinion here...but just because someone was calling him out before, doesnt mean it wasnt warranted. I've seen a similar comment now and then about Brandon Carr. He stinks out the joint for the longest time, then he gets an INT in the Raiders game and someone immediately posts...."so where are the Brandon Carr haters now?" As if that one INT makes up for him getting burned over and over again.
Just because a guy is producing now, doesnt mean, at least in my eyes, that he didnt deserve being ripped earlier in the year. Again, JMO.

Problem is, they were never running Murray enough. Carr on the other hand is always on the field when the defense plays.

Except that its alot different when you have been producing all year long.

If I were Murray I'd have trouble showing up to practice anymore, and I'd laugh at Jerry if he even broached the idea of signing me to another contract in Dallas.
