Whenever I hear these two things, I cringe. And we've heard them both several times this year. # 1 is usually Garrett, but sometimes Romo. And # 2 has been said multiple times by Garrett, Romo, Witten, Brandon Carr etc.

1. In hindsight we should've done it differently.

So, you're saying your decision-making is not good. Thanks.

2. We just have to get better, we have to figure this out.

You just played game # 14. If you havent mastered it by now, there is a very good chance that you arent going to get it right. An old canine saying is...If they dont bite as a pup, they probably arent going to bite.
I think that applies to the Dallas Cowboys' coaches and many players. If they havent "got it" yet, its probably not going to happen.

This is what I mean by robotics - they say the SAME EXACT THING after every loss like they are programmed. If there is anything worse than watching a loss like yesterday - it is watching these idiots in their postgame interviews - it makes me cringe (and break things).

4. Have to be better in all three phases of the game.

Generic coach and player speak. Nothing new here, win or lose.

if you play long enough you will have some great wins and some really bad losses, this was a bad loss

One of the lasting impressions I will have of Garrett is when he was asked why during the Saints blowout, late in the game, was your 100 million dollar QB still in the game?

And in his response the next day was....looking back on that now, he should've been taken out.

HOW can a head coach not make the right decision about that RIGHT ON THE SPOT?
I think it was Chris Collinsworth screaming about it during the last several minutes. He knows the right thing to do, but our head coach doesnt? And I dont wanna hear about Romo saying he wanted to play. The head coach calls the shots, he makes the decisions.....and he couldnt determine on the spot that this was no place for Romo to be?

I think it's indicative of both the ineptitude of the people at the top and their lack of fire after a loss. It really does make me want to break something. I've had to stop watching all postgame interviews.

Did you ever watch Aikman when he was interviewed as a player? He was as boring as absolutely possible.

We just have to get better. We just have to do it better. It's a process, and we have to get better. We have to stack betters on top of betters and process better.

Belichick just acts irritated, mumbles some coach-speak and stands there until the reporters can't take anymore. The Cowboys should take some notes.
