Two thoughts on the Cowboys-Saints

No. 1 this was a game won by the Cowboys themselves. I think the players just saw things beginning to deteriorate and they took things into their own hands. Not so hard to see. And, yes, they definitely felt disrespected and Witten set the right tone: The Saints are a great team but we will go in with heads held high and do our best.

No. 2: This might be a win for the ages. I don't recall the 'Boys going against such big odds: on the road, gasping for new life, no chance given to them by the media or fans.
I mark this win up there with the greatest wins of all time.

I have just one QUESTION on the Saints game: Will the Cowboys really use this victory to build confidence and work harder to eliminate those last few mistakes and thereby win their last two games and the Division; or will this mark a return to the overconfidence and subsequent lack of preparation that has plagued this team for years with the resultant losses to two division opponents and a failure to make the POs at all?...

We'll see. All the above can happen. I'm still not totally trusting of this team but Sat. night was a step in the right direction.

Hard to say. I love confidence, but I wonder about overconfidence. If we go into the next 2 games resting on our laurels, and Wash or the Eagles put in a vastly different offensive and defensive look, that could knock us off balance.
But if Witten (like the last game) could only make sure his teammates enter the next two games respecting their opponents and then staying focused, I like our chances.

I don't see how they can be overconfident. They just have to be confident that they now know they can play well and just get it done. The few games before should show that they can't just show up and expect to win. Hell the past few years should show them that they can't just show up and win.
