He’s being signed for 5 games MAX. He got a steal. I hope he does good while he’s here though for sure.

Cowboys need to draft a young, stout, tall, fast, good route runner, good hands and aggressive ball catching receiver with next year's early rounds to perfectly complement CeeDee and Gallup.
Right after we draft a QB

Both are injury prone though.

I’d take my chances with Hilton’s injuries which are mostly soft tissue stuff vs OBJ whose had two major knee injuries. The most recent one was a non+contact injury, once those start, they don’t seem to stop.

TY is a good low risk signing.

was that the minimum we could’ve signed him for?
The minimum contract for a player with 10+ years of experience is 1.12mil.

Now, contracts are prorated, so 1,120,000/18 =$62,222 a week.

So, the absolute minimum they could of paid him salary wise was ~$250,000.

I have to see him on the field, but at face value this looks like a good signing and a speed element (if Hilton still has it) that this offense desperately needs.

Tolbert just became a wasted pick.7

I don't think Cowboys will give up on Tolbert, I expect him to be in camp. No doubt he has had a rough rookie season but I don't expect the Cowboys to give up on him.

Honestly I prefer Hilton over OBJ. Hilton is a great fit for this offense and what they want to do. He can play outside and inside and I’ll take Hilton’s injury history over OBJ’s. I really wouldn’t be opposed to The Cowboys offering him a new contract that keeps him here through 2023.

I like him over OBJ just for the simple reason that he may actually be able to run a route
