"Just things that Reggie [Wayne] taught me when I was in CeeDee's shoes," Hilton said, flashing back to his days in Indianapolis. "I got a chance to spend some of my knowledge on him with route-running, getting open, getting separation to help him turn it from a contested catch to a non-contested [catch], and building up his YAC."

Hilton even revealed he had a part to play in Lamb's 36-yard touchdown reception.

Said Hilton: "Like on his touchdown, we had that similar play called in practice. I told him to aim a little higher because it's easier to adjust back down than it is to adjust back up.

"He made that adjustment, and he was able to score.''

Hilton's arrival has coincided with one of Lamb's best games, as CeeDee ended up going for 120 yards and two touchdowns on 10 receptions as the Cowboys beat the Eagles 40-34.

This is why bringing in seasoned vets like TY, Hankins, Barr and Peters is so important.

I agree. Two ideas come to mind.

Jalen Tolbert can learn a TON from TY Hilton.

Why not get TY Hilton as WR coach, similar to what Al Harris has done for Dallas?... could be some really good things ahead. CeeDee has already benefited.

That'd be brilliant, at least he can be a coach in uniform with how young our WRs are.

All I know is that we have no idea how long we will have TY Hilton around, while I do know with 100% certainty that Noah Brown will draw a check with us until he hands over to Booger the pictures he has....having said that, I do not want to see Brown taking ANY of the time that could be going to Hilton, the same way he stole time from Cedric Wilson. PLAY YOUR BEST PLAYERS while you have them!!!

TYs veteran leadership and experience will turn CD into his next level self.
Remember when Dware went to Denver and became a mentor to a young Von Miller and transformed Von Miller, transformed his game.
Now CD is much further along in development than that young underwhelming Von Miller was, but this is a very good pairing TY and CD, better than Dware and Von pairing.
CD is already showing his advanced game and skills, so veteran leadership is cool for CD but CD is also cool for TY Hilton.
I like seeing a late season steal in FA that actually is highly beneficial to this team/roster.

He might be better than Coop. He's had a long history of being a very good WR.

Don't know about better but he's good/better than others and is A LOT cheaper. so that always helps. Hopefully he is fully integrated into the offense after this week. Obviously he will upgrade our WR room and from what everyone says, he's in amazing shape, could probably play 2-3 more years.

Yeah but these are things he could have learned from Noah Brown. Just ask.
Noah Brown could teach some of the dirty work, the unnoticed aspects of the game.
Noah taking his game from the ground up, I've always thought of him as a Muhammad Sanu type, hard worker with hands, but NB having the higher ceiling eventually.

Maybe he would be willing to teach others his patented volleyball dig that he performed on the game's last play in Jacksonville. :muttley:
