Ty Law - any interest?

Rumor has it that Ty Law will not play with Jets next year.

I think he is still really good and on a good team with TNew and Glenn and Thomas he could really be a great addition. A real leader ala Darren Woodson.

Should he be considered? I say make a play for him. Although I think he is pining for a return to NE.

Who is Thomas? Did you mean Henry? Law is still pretty darn good and would probably get more money elsewhere. Not to mention that he would want to start.

IF Law were willing to take a pay cut and make the swicth to FS then I might be interested.

But that's not gonna happen.

He's too old, too injured, and too overpaid.
Don't get me wrong, he's an excellent player.
But his days of great success are numbered.

I don't think he's anything close to the Leader Woody was.

I would definitely like Ty Law, but as a free safety.

Pile and Davis have been okay, but they will need to upgrade that position for next year or it will get exploited. Pile and Davis have zero sacks, INT's, or forced fumbles. That's a bit of a concern to me because with the CB's, Roy, and the improved pass rush they should be getting interceptions.

There's no doubt in my mind that Law can play FS and if somebody like Henry or Newman gets hurt, they could always move him back to CB.

The problem is that I'm pretty sure that Law doesn't want to play FS because it would likely mean a paycut.
