I hope if it were dropped the ref would throw the flag, he may have thought it then saw the catch and saw no need to pull the flag..obvious PI..
Agreed. The defender was for sure there before the ball. He should have been playing the ball more.

Should have signed this guy after the trade deadline passed and never got involved with OBJ who clearly isn't healthy enough to play this season. The components you just described as a WR are exactly what the team has needed in its WR room. You need this guy for his presence and the ability to make 2-3 plays each game. Everyone likes to joke about him being old and washed up but when was the last time this team had a WR just blow by a legit CB and a deep S like that AND make a tough catch?

The problem with Hilton is he's an injury waiting to happen. All that tightly would quick twitch muscle fiber is just waiting to rip and put him on the sidelines. Waiting until this late in the season might have been the best thing the Cowboys could have done. Now they only need him healthy for 6 or 7 games. Which might have been all they were gonna get anyway.

lol its why hes a defender and not a WR :) Most WRs win those types of balls over dbs..its why the 50/50 and back shoulder throws works so much.

Yeah.. they're not really 50/50 with most DB/WR matchups because most DBs not names Deion, Walls, Diggs and a few others don't have the ball skills to track the ball and make a play on it like a receiver can. The receiver only has one job on those plays.. catch the ball while the defender has like three or four jobs.. Stay with the receiver, don't make (egregious) contact, find the ball, prevent the completion however you can.. Oh and if the receiver catches the ball escort him gently to the ground.. Don't you dare hit him.. That's not gentlemanly..

I figured the likelihood of age/injury may have something to do with it. But sign him in late October. Let him practice for 3+ weeks, then you have him for Thanksgiving thru the stretch run.

Glad he's here now. I think he's going to be a huge in the playoffs. Not numbers wise, but he's a legit presence if healthy. Tampa in Week 1 was able to completely shrink the field defensively. Hopefully with Gallup and now Hilton working outside, CD will have more space to operate.

Slay never got out of his backpedal until Hilton was several yards behind him. So it was really more about a cornerback making a bad read than simply getting burned.

I think he was saying that the fastest he’s ever been clocked was 22.1, not 22.1 on that play. Doesn’t matter, Dak dropped a dime with 60+ yards of air time and TY made a great catch. Felt like we finally pulled an Aaron Rodgers on somebody (still can’t get over the 3rd and 20 he completed against us).

great reference. Brother in law eagles fan stated that caused him to think the boys could win this game .

Anyone have the All 22 on that play? I noticed that Turpin was lined up just inside him and wanted to see what route he ran.

Good enough for 2nd in the NFL this year for longest completed air yards behind Jackson at 63.2.

"Noodle Arm Dak"

I love how all of the hater's arguments are getting completely obliterated this year. LOL.

Gotta love bringing TY on board. Jerry pulls a good un outta his a**uhhhhhhh pocket sometimes.
Dude is the ultimate savvy pro...workman like attitude. Not eat up with himself. Doesn’t bring drama or pizz to the table
May turn into a helluva signing for what this teams needs are. Already got more out of him than would’ve gotten outta that self promoting flash bang grenade AKA...OBJ

The Eagles were in zone which is the correct defense for that situation. Keep everything in front and come up and tackle.. However Turpin threatening the middle of the field caused the safety to turn his hips away from Hilton and by the time he realized the ball was coming it was too late. Had he stayed over towards Hilton Dak probably hits Turpin in the middle for an easy TD. It was one time when the play design and the deployment of the players actually made it so the defense couldn't be right. No matter which speedster they doubled, they were going to leave a safety one on one with the other.

I like the idea of Turpin and Hilton on the field at the same time and just taking a monster shot at some point in every game.

Completely agree and that is what is so frustrating about this offense... we rarely take shots downfield. If I were the OC, I would take 4 or 5 every game. Odds are you will get a completion or the odds are better that you will get a PI call.
