Tying Touchdown pass by Bowe against Jenkins?

There was some decent contact by both down the field, well past the 5 yard point. Bowe just got a much better push off against Jenkins with a straight arm against the shoulder that pushed Jenkins back and also assisted Bowe in making his cut for separation by providing leverage. Jenkins had his hand up too, but it was a good push off and then a good throw. Jenkins closed the separation (which he does well, he has good quickness AND longer range speed, but for me, the short distance acceleration speed is key for corners) but got there a touch too late.

Because both had their hands up, I probably wouldn't have called it either, but it was a good push. Reminded me of how Roy Williams got pushed well down the field when he got his ribs crushed. Totally threw off Roy in his running of that route, and in this case Jenkins got pushed back or he would have been MUCH tighter on coverage.

Only saw the play twice, did I see that wrong? It occurs earlier in play.

They should never have gotten that far down the field again, but on that play at least I think the coverage from Jenkins would have been better if Bowe hadn't gotten away (a bit) with that push.

You're probably right...but you could call it on 9/10 pass plays.

i blame Hamlin....he was suppose to be there

they were playing Man 2 Deep....instead Hamlin wants too hestitate and try and bait the QB......

Jenkins did a good job at not pointing the finger at him....Watkins did a great job..because he covered a ton of ground coming from his deep half

im starting to dis like hamlin like the rest on here

Watch Hamlin on the play in question. I've never seen a player just stand there like that. Ever.

I thought it was Watkins who got there late.

Its confusing because we don't know what coverage Dallas was in.

It would've been nice if Fox would've gave us the end zone angle.

IMO Hamlin had to decide on the underneath route or guard the deep middle.

Instead he just stood their froze and indecisive.

But Hamlin could've been asked to lurk the middle on the play and Watkins may have had the deep zone.

There is no way to find out based on the information we have but I think a safety was definetely supposed to be there.

Exactly! I think Hamlin was more concerned about Jamal Charles on Bobby Carpenter. And we really don't know who was supposed to be where. FWIW, I heard Jenkins said it was his fault after the game.

I can partially agree here as well. More and more it seems like Hamlin is sitting trying to wait on a play to come to him or trying to bait the QB instead of just playing his assignment. I would rather Bowe catch that ball while getting hit in mid air due to good coverage than have a free shot at the endzone with a safety nowhere in sight.

Of course, I'd have to look at it again but if KC ran a safety in the seam that's a different story.

IMO that was just a tremendous throw. Perfect passes like that are hard to defend no matter what the defense does.

Yeah, it was a good push that definitely created the separation Bowe needed. I wanted offensive pass interference but when I looked at the play again, Jenkins was handfighting with Bowe when it happened, so the officials weren't going to call it.

Jenkins should have played him clean because I don't think Bowe has the speed to get away from him on that play without being able to push off. Speed negates bigger, slower receivers. They want you to get physical with them because they know they can win that.
