TB took a big step last season. BUT he was still not really Pro Bowl quality even though he made the roster after others dropped out.
For once the Boys were smart and waited on a extension. They wanted to see if he had plateaued or was still improving.
ITs only two games so we have to be patient and wait and see if he really has taken another big step forward.
Anyone calling him exceptional is a football idiot.
Fredbeard was exceptional normally and near unreal on his best days.TB is nowhere near as good yet; but he perhaps can get fairly close.

Kudos to him! A classic example of player development. A lot of people were quick to write him off but he’s become a dependable and reliable starter for an important position

We need to find a way to extend him.
I agree with this.
My concern is his agent. I don't even know who the agent is, but when I saw TB get chosen for the Pro Bowl last year I actually cringed a little. Happy for the player, and I love him as a player (not dominant but dude hustles and is a team first guy, and winning teams need guys like that), but I'm afraid the agent looks at the Pro Bowl invite like he should set the bar at his position.

Right now Kelce sets the bar (and should) at 14.25 per year. I just hope Biadasz's agent doesnt demand to reset the bar for the position, because TB is just not THAT good (he's really solid, and I like his intangibles, but he is not a dominant NFL Center).
Hoping maybe something like 5/55-60 could get it done, and I think that could work with an escalating cap.

Shout out to Tyler Biadasz for his relentless hustle 20-30 yards down the field to jump on fumbles by our receivers two weeks in a row. His blocking has been exceptional and his snaps have been flawless. He is the epitome of a vital “glue guy” that holds a great team together. The guy is going to make it really hard to let him walk this off-season.
Loved this play. 13 year old plays RG. Great example to talk about never thinking the play is over or that the play is too far away from you.

He's not much more than a jag. He's exactly the sort the Cowboys will have to let go if they pay Dak. He's had it handed to him repeatedly so far by Lawrence and Williams, it's why we've struggled to run between the tackles. Giving a jag like him $8-$10 million makes no sense.

Lot of good centers in the draft next year. Easy to find a new guy in the 2nd or 3rd or put someone cheap like Edoga there.

Probably looking at the last year for LVE, Gilmore, probably Kearse given how we're suddenly overloaded at safety.

He is a very, very good Center.

He's not Fredbeard, but he has filled the gap that for a bit seemed unfillable.
Biadasz is a solid starting center.

Before start of last year, I admit that I was ready to start looking for a permanent replacement for Biadasz, and even considering the Ravens center (also named Tyler) in first round, before we drafted another Tyler (Smith) in first round.

But Biadasz instead put in a very solid '22 campaign, to ease concerns at center. He's not elite dominant stone anchor like Fred beard, and cannot handle the elite DTs/NTs on a level that Fred-Beard did
.. but Biadasz is more in the mold of a Philly's Jason Kelcie , a savvy, high IQ, technically sound, finesse center whose reliable consistency allows him to play beyond his limitations in athleticism and imposing size/power. He's become a leader of the OL.

He's also an UFA after this year. So we'll have to re-sign him very quickly after the season, or franchise tag him.
Stay tuned.

My first thought when he jumped on the ball yesterday: "That's two weeks in a row he saved someone's [butt]." And he wasn't just lucky either time. He was there for just that possibility, and he didn't try to pick it up and run with it. Both very smart plays.
Yes, our team needs to be better than this on offense. 2 lost fumbles and a pick six would change the optimism to somewhere less than the stratosphere. In some ways it feels as if Biadasz can see the future, he knows exactly when to sprint downfield and cover the fumble. Leapers?

Are any of you surprised how the back up OLine man have done this year? We handled that Jets D line with backup then another back up and Dak was never really threatened.

He reminds a lot of Doug Free where he would consistently hustle on every single play. I always appreciated Free for his ability to go 100% every play, even when he wasn't the strength of the OL he made up for it in football IQ

I’d rather be an “idiot” than a sanctimonious jackass that likes to run his mouth.

Shoutout to CowboyRoy for being the only one to defend and understand how good he really was while the rest of the board couldnt see it.
