Tyler Booker is a Cowboy

Had we traded down to the end of the first maybe this pick makes more sense but at 12???? If you want to know why this team is so bad it’s because of decisions like this and signing crap QBs to historic contracts just awful.
Brugler had him going 17

Watch and see how many teams move down to the end of the first before you make that comment

People act like a team can just look at the draft board and say “you! Team with #24! We’re trading picks” and then it happens

Seems like Dallas is taking the Tyler Smith prototype. Physical guys with the traits they like who are also younger than most of the other draftable prospects.

They just have so many holes. One of the reasons why their inactivity in free agency just kills ya.

I like Tyler Booker but he would have been on the board at 20. Another guy who will be a good player but poor draft value. I guess Bass is history.
I'd shop him and trade him, even if I could only get a seventh-rounder back for him. I know he's depth, but we have Richards, Hoffman and Jones who can all be interior depth. Hoffman might have more value, but we need him as the backup center.

they weren't kidding power run game.
Power run game can really help an oft injured QB and a new coach. I like it. I hope we find someone to run the ball later in the draft. But I’m happy we went with a plug and play guy and not a jersey seller. I do wish we could have traded down a couple spots and picked up a pick and then drafted Booker, but it didn’t work out that way.

Its a meh pick.

The Sun Shine boys will be saying we won the draft.

the rest of the NFL will ignore us on game day.

I mentioned in another thread, there were rumors trade back value was terrible this year as almost no one REALLY wanted to move up so maybe Houston offered peanuts to trade back and we stayed at 12. That is why I made the thread about who’s your pick at 12 with a lot of the studs gone. Apparently Walker and Warren aren’t studs to the Jones family.

I wrote this this afternoon in the WR vs RG thread. Not sure I would have taken him at 12 but I think they got their guy.

“”I don’t know much about Booker. If he’s as big, powerful and dominant as I’ve read he might be my choice in a trade back scenario. I don’t know if there is WR1 in this draft other than maybe Hunter. The others look like mid level WR2. I don’t see top prospects that are 6’2” with great speed and proven production. They all have question marks.

Booker from reports is a top end run blocking guard. Worst case early 2nd rd pick, probably mid-late 1st. We have Bass and Hoffman… two undrafted and mostly unproven players. These two should not stop us from drafting a 1st round guard if Booker justifies that grade and is about BPA at the pick.

I want an elite oline that can get us 2 yards on 3rd and 1. If Booker can road grade in front of a RB I take early in the draft that might be my pick.

Build from the inside out. Run it down their throats with Smith-Beebe-Booker in the middle.””

Now we need a rb that’s what makes this offense and dak better l. That’s when we were at our best as a team

I totally agree

Maybe they push Tyler Smith back out to tackle
Then this becomes a great pick
This would totally work if there is one thing we need more of, its more JAGS.

AA AAAAAAAAAA AAAAAAAAAAAAA AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH GETTING MORE JAGS GETTING MORE JAGS!!!!
