Tyler Booker is a Cowboy

Seems like Dallas is taking the Tyler Smith prototype. Physical guys with the traits they like who are also younger than most of the other draftable prospects.

They just have so many holes. One of the reasons why their inactivity in free agency just kills ya.
Jimmy was the first to anoint Schotty, and did it on national television.

Jimmy loved the trenches

He could be the next Zack Martin.

A first ballot HOFer.

Winner of 4 Wild Card games when all is said and done.

Great Guards mean nothing without QBs.

Nice of them to let you looosen the straight jacket, so you can type. Just hope you don't have access to bed sheets and a chair. On second thought.....

I love the player. He'll come in and be an impact player. Booker, Beebe and Smith could develop into one of the most dominant interiors in the NFL.

Im just not a fan of taking an OG here
I didnt expect them to pick a guard, and neither did anyone else lol.
He needs to be a great one to be worth that pick.

I was also shocked they didnt trade down.

Exactly. It's an identity that they committed to in the offseason by making an OL coach our OC, and then hiring well-regarded OL coach too.

Say what you want, Schotty said he wanted to get better/tougher in the run game. Booker is that dude; an absolute mauler.

You cant complain about trading down if no other team is willing with a serious offer.

don't listen to those fools. I also didn't know we were done picking. 2nd, 3rd, 4th round picks are gonna be DT, WR, RB
Unfortunately we have no 4th rounder since Jerry traded it away. Matt Miller compares him to Tyler Smith. Hopefully he as good

This coming from an Alabama alum who watches all Bama games. This guy tames dawgs from the Georgia line like they are sheep. He did not allow a single sack last year. This guy is a beast and our one legged QB needs all the protection he can get. Some picks look boring but they are solid, like picking Fred the Beard. I hated that pick but he became one of my fav players. A good solid line is fun to watch and that has been a DNA for every time the boys have done well in the season.

Also could send a message to Guyton and Steele. Tyler S can play LT and then Bass/Hoffman can compete for the other guard spot. There's a couple ways the oline could shake out and have a strong line. Get a good 1T and a RB tomorrow night. It's great having a good oline. Now concentrate on having a stout dline.

Now we need a rb. This pick means nothing if we don’t get a legit one. If we do I love it
I think they will view it that it lowers the need at RB. Now, we can wait until later to get one because of our interior line. I don't agree with that thinking, but I could see it being their reasoning.

Trenches first baby. Remember...Dallas needed to get a run game and stop the run over all other needs at the end of the season. I like it because it's targeting the best approach to improving the team. Go get a tough inside runner, and a good 1T.

I'd also take Schwesinger at 44 to help vs the run.

He's a good pick. He'll help the run game. The run game will help an aging, choking QB AND will help the defense. We do need D-line help though.

It might be "boring" but you win in the trenches come playoff time. Fixing the lines now will help when we get rid of the albatross that is Dak and we get a non-choker in the QB position. Make no mistake, 1 draft won't fix this team's woes player-wise. This is a multi-year fix because the front office screwed up so badly letting the lines deteriorate. That being said, it won't matter a bit unless there's a culture change, which won't happen with Jerry in control.

The lines are critical though. We need big mean dudes on our lines that impose their will on opponents. GB did that to us.
