Tyler Booker is a Cowboy

If the only way you can build the trenches is to use first and 2nd round picks, you suck at your job.

The people defending this should explain to me why they don't spend nearly as much resources on the defensive line.

I am sure Booker will be a good player, but I want impact at important positions from my premium picks.
Two of the last four first round picks were Micah and Mazi.

In Micah’s draft the first six players drafted were defense.

The team is just better at selecting and developing offensive linemen so I think it looks skewed in hindsight

They suck at their job, we all know that. They do spent resources on the D line, they just don't hit the mark, bust after bust. Somehow they seem to hit gold on O line, so I guess is better they keep picking those.

Maybe he could also be a leader on a defensive line that can't stop a running roll of tissue... But Hey? Maybe we can run the ball for 55 minutes or so. We have a 60 million dollar quarterback handing the ball off for 60 minutes. BRILLIANT!!!!!!!
It's going to be so much fun watching another putrid defense again this year. Maybe we can strive to be dead last instead of next to last like last year?

If the Cowboys follow it up on Day 2 with either Jaydon Blue or Bhayshul Tuten at RB, plus Dont'e Thornton Jr at WR, I will forgive them for the overreach at Guard so early in Round 1.
Ok and what about when we trot out a defense that was an abomination last year and that we didn't spend any decent draft picks on this year?

Agreed. This is why you, me and everyone else should be upset with Jerry for wasting that #12 pick on a Guard (which was not of need), but instead, should have accepted the Texans trade down offer to their #25th spot and an extra Day 2 draft pick.

But noooo. Jerry and everyone happy with his decision got greedy while hurting this team's chance to pick up extra Day 2 draft picks.
