Drafted by Cowboys Tyler Booker is a Cowboy

Please don't bust. That's all I got.

Same song and dance the year when this guy was drafted. Just saying. They were talking on Fan today how much of a leader of the O line he was in Alabama. Zach is gone that line needs a leader. I am ok with this pick now we get a WR next. Although could be a RB since Shotty wants to commit to running the ball.

USA Today: If it’s massive running lanes you want, you got it. B

Standing at a girthy, listed 6-foot-5, 321 pounds, Booker is a mammoth of a man. He spent his Saturdays with the Crimson Tide steamrolling defensive tackles at the point of attack and linebackers at the second level. He practically screams, “Dallas Cowboys,” and how they’ve typically tried to construct their offensive lines over the years. It is so unsurprising that they’re now adding him to an already formidable (and young!) interior featuring center Cooper Beebe and left guard Tyler Smith.

what else do they know?

JJ tells them what to like, they like it.

Mediocre city baby!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, Just because you cant do it, doesnt mean others cant.

Some of us know how this works, others wait for other people to tell them what to think.
Lol man our fan base hears all these people say WR WR WR RB and don't realize the depth there. Meanwhile Dallas takes the BEST Guard in the draft to literally fill a need because we do NOT have 1. Then cries cries cries. Still so much we can do at RB and WR not at G

No one is trading in this draft. There has only been 1
Ok there it is, there were some trade ups as it got down in lower rounds , and some earlier too,
like cleveland traded down a little, giants traded up later.
I think shotty wanted this guy specifically.
The Cowboys coaches have been talking about having a violent and physical identity and Booker gives them that up front. This pick shouldn't be a surprise. I like it
yeah but it was that he was a guard that is surprising.
DT, OT, Edge , could see all those.
I am ok with booker if they get a better RB too.

I promise you that you will notice a bad QB much more than you’ll notice a bad Guard.
Of course, the QB is positioned behind an offensive line. 5 offense lineman strive to function cohesively as one unit. We also have witnessed a great quarterback struggle and be appreciably less protected when impacted by a less effective run and pass blocking offensive line. Mahomes will certainly vouch for that.

The quality goes waaaaaay down with each round. That's the problem.
Tom Brady was selected in the 6th round. A number of All Pro's or Pro-Bowlers were not drafted in the first round at various positions over the years not only with the Cowboys but other teams. Conversely not every first rounder or even second rounder becomes a star player.

I don't disagree that generally the performance or competitive level of multiple players drafted in later rounds is as qualitative as in earlier rounds but there are exceptions. Some undrafted players have become great players as well. Quality coaching staff support is also instrumental to the success of very talented players.

I am just hesitant to pre-judge the draft at this juncture.

There are always exceptions that prove the rule. That's what makes it a bell curve. Unfortunately it doesn't change the cold hard facts about getting what you pay for (odds are).

Oh, you mean IN THE SUPER BOWL???

Do you mean a quarterback can lead you to the Super Bowl with a bad offensive line?

Remember when we consistently had 3 All-Pros on the O-line and Dak and Romo couldn't get past the divisional round with them?

Great QBs don't need great Olines to be successful, but great Olines NEED great QBs.

Whatever Jerry is trying to build will be wasted on Dak, just like the HOF filled Oline he had for the last decade.

Everyone saying Booker is a mauler. But i haven't seen a highlight of him just pancaking defensive lineman? He's not Larry Allen. At pick 12.. for a guard.. not a great way to use resources in my opinion.
