Drafted by Cowboys Tyler Booker is a Cowboy

Still hating everything and every player.
He is an impact player along with all the other player moves.

May not translate into the too many more in win column this year, but with next years draft, it will.
I love 1st round picks who don't translate into the win column until actual weapons get drafted.

They're my favorite.

It would be so funny around here if coach Riley held an actual merit based training camp in which all positions were open competition.

And then...
Bass or Hoffman beat out Booker for the starting RG spot.

But then in that scenario there's a good chance Tyler Smith would beat out Guyton and Richards too for the LT spot.
Then it would come down to another competition between whatever guard(s) and Booker for the newly vacant LG spot.

This place would be comedy gold under this not so far fetched narrative.
LOL

The projected starting 5 is better than any scenario you mentioned.

What about an open competition for QB?

Another not so impossible hypothetical is what if Toia beats out Mazi in camp?

All I'm getting at here is the same head coach Jones who called the shots on Zekes un- earned RB snaps last year gonna make the call in a Guyton, Booker or Mazi getting beat out scenario?

Ya know Booger made those picks and he's proud of it.
Not so sure he's capable of allowing his mistakes to go on display like that.

Are you?

By any chance was anyone listening to SiriusXM NFL network about 30 minutes ago? Not sure who the show hosts were but the show is called "Press Coverage". Just as I was about to exit my car the host said they would go to commercial break but when they came back they were going to talk about an analytics analysis of Tyler Booker and why he was a risk in the NFL. I had to go at that point and missed what they said but I was curious if anyone else caught it. None of it means anything because when they take the field the truth will be revealed. But I still wanted to hear what analytics they would talk about.

I didn’t hear it but would have to believe it’s related to his athletic profile/sparq score. Personally I think it’s a none issue. Moves better on tape than he did his 40 time.

No, but OurLads has an interestingly professional and balanced review.
I recommend it to those who are capable of non biased opinions.

Definite food for thought regarding Booker's extremely poor combine testing but then the homers here will come back with the "ignore how they test" mantra so just take the analysis at its face value.

NFLN guys were saying Atlanta had the best draft, Dallas was right behind them.
I don’t think picks from next year should count, not exactly fair if we are determine other factors. Why not throw in trades with those picks for players too. Under that logic this was the commanders draft,
1st: Josh Conerly Jr.
2nd: Trey Amos
3rd: Laremy Tunsil, Marshon Lattimore
4th: Jaylin Lane
5th: Deebo Samuel
6th: Kain Medrano
7th: Jacory Croskey-Merritt

Remember Atlanta gave up next years 1st rounder and a 7th this year just to move up 20 picks for James Pearce Jr. If you ask me they should be penalized for such an overpay for a guy who wasn’t even top three at his own position. I’m just not a fan of these rankings, I think Booker will be great even if he was a slight reach at #12 but I think the second and third round value made up for it. As for the rest who knows

You can have the best quarterback, running back, and receiver in the world. But without an offensive line that gives the backs room to run and the QB time to throw and the receivers time to get open, it means nothing.

I don’t hate this pick, but they might have still got him and picked up a 2nd trading with Houston. It’s just not that valuable a player to not take that chance

Booker was not a reach.
