Tyler Booker received RG1 reps in practice

I was interested to see if the RG1, LT and DT1 positions could be earned in an open competition type camp.

I guess there goes that idea.

Well, hopefully Coach Jerry doesn't end up calling the playing time/snaps of unearned spots like he did Zeke last year.

Cheers to that culture change thing.
Shrugs.

Cowboys!

Guyton was raw as hell because he only started something like 18 games in college; and most of them on the right side.

Booker, meanwhile, is a battle tested four year starter in the SEC.
That argument is hilarious, because people thought Trance with similar starts,
was going to be a legit starting QB.

Pretty obvious they drafted him because they expected him to start immediately.

In this case, nothing wrong with that.

Just delusion how some fans think he had to beat out Hoffman.
So how does that work then?
A first round 29th pick tackle was a mistake to start and needed to have earned his spot and slowly worked his way into the starting lineup...

While the first round 12th pick guard starts immediately in front of someone who did a credible job at guard the year before?

How are positions "earned" in a Dallas Cowboys training camp?

Like Zeke's early year snaps last year even after McFraud had said publicly Dowdle was the best RB in camp.

Just for formalities the Cowboys could have given first team reps to a veteran like Brock Hoffman, Rob Jones, or T.J. Bass. Just skip that and let Booker get all the reps he can.
They need to put him at LG and T Smith at LT. It's mind blowing. Sunk cost fallacy, imo. They've gone this far with it, so they're gonna double down on Guyton playing the most difficult and important position on the line.

Did you expect anything less???
They like to play around with us they did it to Micah as well, had him start off as like the 3rd backup then eventually they gave him the start week one

Mazi got the same treatment
