Since I can’t comment in an old thread and the MOD’s shut it down, guess I’ll create a new one. We’re now half way through the season and Guyton is ranked as the ~10th worst player at his position. Since fans were posting how we wouldn’t have to worry about the LT position after he played decent in his first game of the season, I thought it would be better to give it more time before making such a bold declaration.
Welp, he’s now had a season and a half and has shown little to no improvement. Of course there’s a chance he needs another year or full season but the future doesn’t look encouraging, or not nearly as encouraging as a lot of you were adamant about after ONE game. The competition isn’t going to get much easier, I don’t think he’ll suddenly “make a turn for the better” at this point in the season.

Never bought into he was left tackle material. He was a right tackle @ Oklahoma for a reason. He's more of a mauler than a tech. Didn't see the feet or the hands to mirror. @ RT...you can at least hide some of his short comings with some TE help.
