I think he means bc they had a lefty at QBOk, why?
Fat Mike and old man Solari were too crusty and never wanted him. I get it, but don't agree with them.Well, the good news is he has nowhere to go but up lol. Hopefully that's the case.
Some players need a year to understand the commitment and discipline required by the NFL to reach their potential. They can't just walk on the field and get the same result from college.Last year's struggles for Guyton will make him a better player learning forward. He didn't have a ton of starts in college so the experience he got will definitely work in his favor.
He was drafted to play the left side. It doesn't matter that he played on the right side at OU (protecting the blind side of left-handed QB Dillon Gabriel). He played on the right because he was good at it.
surprising because most draft analysis was that we was raw and needed time in a pro system before eventually becoming an A+ starter.I think most everyone thought he would have a Tyler Smith type rookie season.
Im not ready to write him off but I am ready to write Steele off and slide guyton over to his natural spot. That said it may end up being worse on him and he may be worse than last yearPeople are ready to write him off already, I think he has the potential to rebound this season
I think they're going to give him a chance with the new coaching staff to see what they can do with himIm not ready to write him off but I am ready to write Steele off and slide guyton over to his natural spot. That said it may end up being worse on him and he may be worse than last year
Level-headed post. I get all the positivity only wishes but you can be both a realist and optimistic about a guy at the same time.I like Guyton and I'm hopeful on him, but to be honest he said all the right things in interviews last year, too. Unfortunately, being a good dude and saying the right things doesn't mean much.
I'm disappointed nobody who covers the team ever told us what was really going on with him last year. Getting benched for a spare like Edoga is pretty alarming.
I don't understand what you guys expect these players to say when they are asked questions like this. "Uh, no, pressure is terrifying and I am always so scared that I cave in to it and play terribly."It sounds like another Garrett platitude.
I can just hear that Redheaded Fraud stating that as if he invented it. Probably with a few forced and inauthentic curse words thrown in.
Said he was up to 325lbs. & he didn't look chubby.I think solari did nothing to improve any of the lineman. They have invested in oline expertise, hopefully they get him on track. I saw him at the hotel in Maryland before the washington game. He looked like a small forward. He can put a lot of muscle on that frame. He's very athletic, has a ton of potential.
I was trashing Garrett there, not Guyton. And I'll never back off from trashing Garrett.I don't understand what you guys expect these players to say when they are asked questions like this. "Uh, no, pressure is terrifying and I am always so scared that I cave in to it and play terribly."
God forbid they try to have a positive and competitive outlook on things.
