I have heard good reports thus on Tyler Guyton, knock on wood he has stayed relatively healthy. In my opinion, his play is the key to the success of the OL and possible the entire offense:

-Year 3, it's time to either take that next step or the team will be looking for his replacement as early as next offseason.
-Unlike Guyton, we heard the complete opposite w/Steele who is really struggling. Protecting one tackle is doable, but not both. Team figured out a way to protect Doug Free years ago who had similar issues in pass protection.
-Very unlikely they will find an upgrade in the open market or via trade as the entire league is in demand.
-Penalties, turnovers, drops and POOR PROTECTION can potentially derail this offense. Protect Dak and the offense will be difficult to stop if they don't beat themselves!

He'll be ok, seems to have caught fire this year. Maybe it was coaching, or understanding NFL maturation.

I'm not worried about him, like I would be of Steele.

Isn't there a quote going around that Guyton will be here for a 4th year for sure? Steele for sure needs to go though. His run blocking is nice but he doesn't have an all time great guard next to him to protect him anymore and help pick up his slack (although i do think Booker can consistently be one the best guards in the NFL during his career. Just needs the experience)

Jerral will definitely keep him through year 4, but it's more a question of if he gets Dak killed this season, and sends us on a search for a very rare and expensive LT to replace Guyton.

I don't see any way they give up on Guyton. He's already better than Steele and OL depth is tough to find. That's even if they decide to draft another LT high or sign a free agent.
