Parsons would have to be incredible the last part of the season to make ALL PRO so it ain't happening.Tyler Smith and Brandon Aubrey and perhaps CD Lamb are the All Pro candidates. Parsons maybe if he finishes strong but I have news for him. He is not there yet and all that DPOY talk he made is preseason looks rather hollow right now.
I do not think any one is playing as good right now as Tyler Smith. Folks know that. You are right about the competition Lamb faces. A lot of teams have good receivers and Lamb is not a deep threat type guy. Not many of the spectacular deep TD catches. Plus he is nursing an injury currently. He may make it on number of catches and yardage but it is not a given.Parsons would have to be incredible the last part of the season to make ALL PRO so it ain't happening.
CD has some heavy competition. Tyler has looked really good but not sure with all the bad pub about our O line if he will make it; that counts even when it should not.
IF CD now makes ALL-PRO with Rush as his QB.........you might as well bench Dak coz that means Rush ......I don't even wanna say it (lol)CD has some heavy competition.
I see what you're saying but Smith is an ALL-PRO guard and Guyton is still a rookie. I would focus on finding an RG and let Richards compete with Steele for RT.Frankly, I'd like to see him moved back out to left tackle next year by whoever the next coach is. Switch Guyton to the right and trade Steele for whatever you can get.
With Martin also liable to retire, our line would be Smith, Richards, Beebe, Bass, Guyton, with Hoffman available at center in case either of the guard options falter. We would need to bring in some depth/competition, though.
It's just much harder to find top tackles than good-enough guards, and I think Smith could be a top tackle. Maybe not a perennial All-Pro, but still quite good.I see what you're saying but Smith is an ALL-PRO guard and Guyton is still a rookie. LOL....it's all part of their plan huh (LOL)Breaking News: He'll be one of the next people on the injury list. Player does good, gets hurt! Player gets the bag, they get hurt!It
I am not sure Tyler would make the Pro Bowl as a LT. BUT he is a sure ALL PRO as a guard. You just do not do that. Just don't. That kind of move NO ONE DOES.It's just much harder to find top tackles than good-enough guards, and I think Smith could be a top tackle. Maybe not a perennial All-Pro, but still quite good.
I was really impressed with Richards' play at LG in the preseason and think he might turn into a better guard than he'll ever be a tackle. Getting those book-end tackles right is the most important thing.

QUIT. Tyler is a great OG, a subpar LT. If we start doing that again, playing players out of position, it's the same ol' crapp we've been doing that leads to lack of success.Frankly, I'd like to see him moved back out to left tackle next year by whoever the next coach is. Exactly why do you want to mess w/ one of the best OG's in the league? Why?It's just much harder to find top tackles than good-enough guards, and I think Smith could be a top tackle. Maybe not a perennial All-Pro, but still quite good.

Playing Tyler at LT is not playing him out of position. He was an LT in college and was drafted to play the spot.QUIT. Tyler is a great OG, a subpar LT. If we start doing that again, playing players out of position, it's the same ol' crapp we've been doing that leads to lack of success.
We don't know what Tyler could become at LT, but he put up a solid effort there as a rookie, much better than we've seen from Guyton. LT is your most important position on the offensive line, so I see nothing wrong with playing your best player there, especially when his skillset IS built for the spot. He's got very good feet and power. In college, he leaned too much on his power at times and went for the kill shot, which left him in poor position to recover against quicker ends who would counter with speed.Exactly why do you want to mess w/ one of the best OG's in the league? And what makes you think he'd be a top tackle? Evidence and skillset do not point to that.
NO COACHING STAFF MOVES AN ALL PROWe don't know what Tyler could become at LT, but he put up a solid effort there as a rookie, much better than we've seen from Guyton. Again, he may not be an All-Pro at left tackle, but if he could be top 10, that would be worth playing him there over guard. Don't be surprised if the next coaching staff comes in and moves him.
That's not true. Larry Allen played everywhere but C. Other teams adapt and try to find the best combination of players.NO COACHING STAFF MOVES AN ALL PRO
it does not happen
