Actually, it is on the OL. Asim Richards and Bass were excellent pickups. Those two are showing starter potential in their rookie years. Hoffman looked decent in limited reps also.

Still have Waletzko and Ball also.

He could play today if he absolutely had too. Ball should be okay and not a drop off from Smith and a hurt peg.

Hmmm...

some say today's game is " preseason" ... some are saying it's the " biggest game of the season "
anyone calling it preseason don't know anything about football this game actually counts it actually improves our playoff seeding gives us a division winner it is a big game it can't be the biggest game of the season because we're already in the playoffs but it's definitely one of the bigger games it means a lot let's just put it this way it's the most meaningful game of the season... To knock the Eagles off their perch I don't care who we play but we are playing on the road that have been people haven't noticed this a week to week league there have been many of these types of games that the better team should win that have not, all year long, full of upsets..

But tell those who think this preseason they don't understand football because this game actually counts all the stats count everything counts and it matters... If we were pulling our starters and it didn't matter to us one way or the other then you can call it whatever you want but it is one of the more meaningful games of the year it will set the tone by taking away the division from the Eagles and getting the number two seed how can it not be a big game?

If Cowboys were guaranteed something today, I would be sitting most of the offensive line. They are too banged up. I think it’s a good move, especially since Bass seems to be the only young guy who is stepping up quickly. We’re not going far in the playoffs if this offensive line doesn’t heal up.

What little we saw of Hoffman I like him too I think he could play a little he's a center and a guard as well... So I agree so why is Tyron even playing I would pull Tyron out as well..

Waletzko is on the 53. Do you think the Cowboys would have him there right now if he did not have talent? He would be picked up by numerous teams if the Cowboys were to cut him.

Ball was showing something in preseason but Richards, Bass, and Waletzko showed more. There just wasn’t a slot for Ball and the team redshirted him.

Its only been a week since his plantar fascia severed. There has to be scar tissue formation going on and inflammation still in there. I cant see him ready in a week.

yeah I didn't think he was gonna play either they're making sure if he's gonna put the effort in you know manage the pain he's gonna do it in the playoff game by the way I don't even think they should play tyron or hankins,,, if we can't beat Washington without those guys we shouldn't even be in the playoffs... Those guys need the most rest and I'd also under use Tony Pollard today too I give Rico and hunter a lot of snaps today... I realize the game's important but we're playing a team that really doesn't have anything to play for and even if they did they're lacking in talent...
No. The playoffs start today. Just because you think that they don't have anything to play for means little. They are playing at home (with a very elusive Howell) and would absolutely love to play spoiler. Every man that can play should play. If you blow it this time...there will be hell to pay. The Ravens put up a pretty good fight against the Steelers at home...with starters out of the lineup. They only lost by three points. I trust a wounded Dallas team at home more than I trust a full strength team on the road.

Guys can "rest" next week...at home...where the team is averaging around 40 ppg.

Really you calling a game for a divisional title a preseason game
You do realize the opposing team has everything to gain by losing and absolutely nothing to gain from winning?

But, continue on with your division games are of utmost importance fairy tale.

these guys are basically still rookie projects with very little game experience and neither have extinguished themselves
as reliable backups to factor this year.

Ball had one lone decent preseason game (vs 3rd stringers/bubble players) and still an unknown mess as he sits on IR
while Wally cannot even stay healthy enuff to have a chance at developing with persistent bum shoulder injuries.

I don’t think the expectation was for him to play. I’m sure Bass practiced with ancitipation to start and is ready
I think this was a given. Get him ready for playoffs. He may not be the only one
