Cowboys LG Tyler Smith on rookie LT Tyler Guyton: “I’ve been truly impressed. It’s not very often that you find a human being who measures how he does, 6-7, 330 and has light feet and can just move and just bully dudes. When he really becomes confident and gets the playbook down and does all that stuff, the sky is truly is the limit for him and his development.

“He’s a confident guy. He knows the tools that he has. He knows how rare they are. It’s just a matter of time before he solidifies things and he’s playing at that truly elite, elite level.”

This is great news.

We will see. Guys pump up their team mates all the time because they are their team mates.

If nobody is talking All-Pro after the first game this board will declare him a bust. Happens every year...
No it doesn't. Lots of guys took a while to get going or get to All Pro level (Tyler Smith, Ceedee, even Micah didn't get to show his pass rush skills until about October of his rookie season) and no one wrote them off

All it took was one padded practice before the anointing oil came out lol

I guess, me lads, Tyler should know better than us about Guyton's potential, something no team is short.

Oh, bit o' sod here, I am all out of anointing oil, vermicelli and Big Red.
Boy howdy, men, it's always some novelty here.

Git, Dak!

The long walks and sunset along Ray Hubbard shore made him realize Guyton could be his mini-me.

It's far more than that. Literally everyone is singing his praises so far.
this has happened before; so until he shows it all camp and starts doing it in games we will see. he was expected to struggle making the transition to LT from RT so maybe he will do it seamlessly but I have been burned before by someone getting all sorts or praise in camp and in preseason and then disappearing that any more I take it all with a grain of salt.
Talk is cheap
One can hope we get someone else that comes out of the starters blocks and blows people away but as other posters have pointed out someone like Zach is very rare.
Tyler did not blow people away his rookie year
Tyron smith was a good RT his roookie year but not a top one.

That’s awesome to hear! I hope they can get Beebe on the field somehow too that would make this an awesome draft.

He certainly isn't struggling. He is off to a very good start.

Funny. The total opposite you are preaching for Trance. Everyone is saying he doesn't have it. lol
