Tyler Warren and tet are both on the board what does Dallas do ?

Tet easily. I like Warren, but the positional value difference between them is immense. The highest paid TE now makes as much as the 22nd highest paid WR.

I think Tet is like a Michael Pittman, Drake London type of player. Pittman plays for $23M a season, and London's probably going to get high 20Ms to 30M per season whenever he re-ups.

For comparison, George Kittle plays for $15M a year, Kelce makes $17M/yr, and Trey McBride just resigned for $19M/yr. So in terms of salary, Warren would have to become a special player and hit his best-case ceiling to even reach Tet's floor.
This is a great point & totally agree with your entire post. Something about Warren gives me cowboys ring of honor vibes though & that type of value supersedes the logical considerations you provided IMO. Would be happy with Tet tho.

Yeah, but same for receiver. Easier to find receivers. Imo
Right. It’s rare as well. Which is fair. I’m all over this place with the draft. I want day one starters and I don’t think that’s gonna happen unless we draft rb or offensive linemen…

Take Warren. He could be generational.
I hear people say this…and currently there’s what? One generational guy at tight end in the league? I’m excluding guys at the end of their career like Kelce…..generational is strong that’s like perennial All Pro guy.

In my gut I feel that the WRs in this draft are a big risk. But I do acknowledge WR is a need for the Cowboys and if you want to fill that need in the draft then it would be best to take one early because this class is thin at that position.

I also think Golden is a bigger risk than TMac. But my doubts about both of them are high.

I think Warren could make the bigger impact on the Cowboys offense in his rookie year than any WR in this draft. With Ferguson becoming a free agent next year maybe it makes the most sense to take Warren, continue developing Schoonmaker, and plan on letting Fergie walk next year.

Dak makes 60 mill
Mahomes...what? 20 mill

So dak is better?

Tet is more needed. He'd get more playing time here.

We have a good bit of talent at te, 4 of them all of talent to make nfl rosters.

Warren while I think is great, would split time his rookie year minimum.
