Tyler Warren and tet are both on the board what does Dallas do ?

Dallas takes Tet because they feel they need a WR2 and they love Fergy.

What I think is totally different.

Tet easily. I like Warren, but the positional value difference between them is immense. The highest paid TE now makes as much as the 22nd highest paid WR.

I think Tet is like a Michael Pittman, Drake London type of player. Pittman plays for $23M a season, and London's probably going to get high 20Ms to 30M per season whenever he re-ups.

For comparison, George Kittle plays for $15M a year, Kelce makes $17M/yr, and Trey McBride just resigned for $19M/yr. So in terms of salary, Warren would have to become a special player and hit his best-case ceiling to even reach Tet's floor.

Hopefully take a DT so we can finally make a super bowl. Neither of those two moves the needle all that much.

Positional value financially doesn't determine which player is better for the team. There are TEs that are the #1 option for their teams and even more TEs that are #2 options. What's the point of drafting a lesser player because his position cost more on the market?

Dak's #2 option is his TE, and multiple QBs are the same way, so a TE shouldn't be overlooked. Actually, financially, it would be cheaper to have a top TE over a top WR2.
Example: TE - Trey McBride $19M/yr or Tee Higgins $28/yr (Devonta Smith $25M/yr)

I'm not going after your post because it's solid in the approach, however, some teams use a different model of team building by going with the TE as the 2nd option. Dallas has used this model, but if Ferguson has a down year things look bad as fans look to the WR2 as the problem when he's really a 3rd option.
