Tyler Warren and tet are both on the board what does Dallas do ?

Tet easily. I like Warren, but the positional value difference between them is immense. The highest paid TE now makes as much as the 22nd highest paid WR.

I think Tet is like a Michael Pittman, Drake London type of player. Pittman plays for $23M a season, and London's probably going to get high 20Ms to 30M per season whenever he re-ups.

For comparison, George Kittle plays for $15M a year, Kelce makes $17M/yr, and Trey McBride just resigned for $19M/yr. So in terms of salary, Warren would have to become a special player and hit his best-case ceiling to even reach Tet's floor.
This is a great point & totally agree with your entire post. Something about Warren gives me cowboys ring of honor vibes though & that type of value supersedes the logical considerations you provided IMO. Would be happy with Tet tho.

In my gut I feel that the WRs in this draft are a big risk. But I do acknowledge WR is a need for the Cowboys and if you want to fill that need in the draft then it would be best to take one early because this class is thin at that position.

I also think Golden is a bigger risk than TMac. But my doubts about both of them are high.

I think Warren could make the bigger impact on the Cowboys offense in his rookie year than any WR in this draft. With Ferguson becoming a free agent next year maybe it makes the most sense to take Warren, continue developing Schoonmaker, and plan on letting Fergie walk next year.

Dak makes 60 mill
Mahomes...what? 20 mill

So dak is better?

Tet is more needed. He'd get more playing time here.

We have a good bit of talent at te, 4 of them all of talent to make nfl rosters.

Warren while I think is great, would split time his rookie year minimum.

I like ferg but if Kellen Moore wants him it would be good roster management to get a pick for him and get fresh face there

I don’t wanna look at the roster and think about think draft like filling holes.

The above poster is right. Warren has ring of honor potential. He seems like a cool young kid too. I’m not letting guys like ferg or Tolbert or Sam Williams or dak etc keep me from drafting someone awesome

We don't need more lazy players that just rely on their size.

Someone said Ferguson may not have recovered from his concussion. I don't know too much about it. But I suspect the source has ties to Cowboys.

I actually like both of these players. After last season it became apparent that we need playmakers.

In round 1, I'm going for Tet or Warren. If not available, trade down or draft BPA DT or CB.

I think Maxwell Harrison is a first round prospect. Maybe not 12, but snatch him in a trade down and I'd be happy with their decision.

Warren is the safer pick, IMO. Go BPA. I think it's Warren.
I agree with you again, Warren is a generational type TE talent that just comes along once in a while if he falls to 12 you run to the podium .He is Gronk 2.0 plain and simple he becomes Dak's safety blanket .Then I would trade down in the second and pick best player available the rest of the draft ,Go Cowboys,Warren helps bring you Super Bowl 6 soon.

It's difficult to ignore how many SB teams in recent years all have one thing in common: an elite TE on their roster.

How's it going, deer hunter?

Doing well Pass2 Run thank you for asking , love the way you think brother of the star , can't wait for the draft and look forward to the season sir.Keep the good posts rollin and I will keep putting my 2 cents back to you.GO COWBOYS.Dallas must ace this draft and if they do ,we will be in the playoffs.Fan since 1973 52 seasons.

Best reply in the thread.

Warren is a hot prospect, but Indy are desperate for a TE and we’re in dire need of more picks already.
More picks is far less important than solid evaluations of said picks.

Getting more picks isn't a magic bullet to get better players. You get more picks.

What round was DaRon Bland taken in?
