Tyrod Taylor traded to Cleveland *Merge*

I'm calling it now and saying the Browns will not take a QB at 1 or 4.

I could see them going Barkley at 1 very easily.
This choice of vet QB really does change things.

If you look at it at face value, they want a ground game. And a QB who can build off that.

Tyrod Taylor cannot run a pass dominant offense.

Somebody in Cleveland forgot to take their medication today...

Just when you think Cleveland might have got someone to clean up the mess...they go out and create an even bigger mess. OMG...just gave up the top pick in the 3rd 4th and 5th round and Kiser...for

Jarvis Landry
Damarius Randall
Tyrod Taylor

Talk about paying through the nose....

Should have just stuck to their guns...and build through the draft.
I like what the Browns did...they got a starting QB, #1 WR, and a starting CB none of which will command huge money. personally I wouldve went with McCarron

I guess they missed our ultra successful break the mold strategy when it comes to that.

Same here. I don't get how they believe that a QB Buffalo has been trying hard to give up on for two years is worth what they paid.

They could have got another ham and egger QB for straight cash.

Cleveland's offensive roster isn't a horrible waste:

QB - Taylor
RB - Barkley (projected)
WR - Gordon/Landry/Coleman
TE - Njoku
OL - Thomas/Bitonio/Tretter/Zeitler/Coleman

Couple somewhat better than scrubs on the OL, but those could be added through the draft or you draft Nelson at 4 (not likely, just saying).

Wow . Cleveland may win some games this year .

I hate T-BaUM

No one is trading for a 37yr old QB with a bad back, some of y'all remind me of the Mavericks fans who thought the Timberwolves would trade KG for Josh Howard:laugh:

on the flipside the nets traded their future for broken down kg and pierce

LOL

Romo was not a tradable commodity. No matter what Jerry Jones led you gullible sheep to believe.

We have a front office that really really enjoys insulting the intellect of its fanbase.

Their thrill is being smarter than the majority of the fanbase.

The sad part is, they can get away with it because, well, figure it out.

He doesn't have me believing anything, I'm on the other side of that fence .But I will tell you if we had a GM worth 2 pennies he could have got something for Romo. Even a very low pick

My thoughts is they are definitely taking Barkley at 1.
I wonder now if they will take BPA (Fitzpatrick, Chubb, or Nelson) at 4 now.

Also, have to think Buffalo will make that rumored big trade up to get their QB now.

I agree, probably Chubb or Nelson at #4.

You telling me we couldn’t get anything Romo and Tyros Taylor gets a third?

Our front office is awful!
Remember now....the cowboys said they were gonna "do right" by romo.....you know.....for all the playoff glory and super bowl rings he got us! There was no way they were gonna send him off to the browns where he would have absolutely no chance to add too his playoff/ superbowl glory.....

Great moves by the Browns. They buy insurance at QB with a veteran in Tyrod Taylor that makes few mistakes and gives you some stability. This allows you to still draft a QB to sit and develop. Trading for Landry makes a lot sense; you want a WR to pair with a young QB that knows how to win underneath and allow the QB to get rid of the ball. Landry can do that.

Now, they can still grab their franchise RB in Barkley. Or, they can bypass using their other 1st rounder on a QB and grab Chubb to pair with Myles Garrett.

Wait, Tyrod Taylor was worth a third but we couldn't trade Romo. Uhhhhhhh, speechless

When your humpty dumpty, your a hard player to trade for, 3 YEARS in a row with injuries, long injures, will make virtually any player untradeble.

They got better not worse, Randall better than any receiver not named Dez on our team, Taylor better than any backup on our team and many others, Landry better than Dez, so there you go.

Tyrod means little as far as drafting a QB. He is a bridge player. A QB at 1 or 4 is still very much on the table, but like you said it also allows them to not have to throw them in the fire.

Browns could be competitive next, and thats another thing. They needed a culture change

Ummmm... if I remember correctly KG was traded to Boston for Al Jefferson and some scrubs. Now granted Jefferson was younger and showed more promise back then but Josh was an All star that year (I BELIEVE), so a KG / Josh + scrubs + a pick swap wasn’t entirely out of the question.
There was no way the Timberwolves would've made that trade, it was just a fantasy created by Mavs fans.
