Tyler Smith’s injury you should be worried about, not Tyron. They already plan on putting Tyler at LT if/when he goes out. Much easier to plug unproven youth at G then arguably 2nd most Important position on offense.

He was a bad *** player in his prime. Now he’s just a guy made of glass.

He’s not dominant anymore even when healthy. Much like Witten, his cap charge is way out of line with his actual worth.
Out of curiosity, what is his cap charge this season?

Just over $8 million. The Cowboys have $14 million of dead cap by cutting him but I think this is his last season under contract anyway.

What would have playing in the preseason done? Does playing a few series suddenly make the ankle so strong it can’t be injured all season? Like y’all are just frustratingly stupid with this nonsense
one win in the last five opening season games with extremely sloppy penalty filled football played but it's nonsense to you....playing reps and continuity is a real thing....Tyron Smith gets injured waking up in the morning from sleeping in bed, but you think keeping players in bubble wrap for the season opener is working..

Even before this I was expecting Thibodeaux to have a monster game against Tyron and really show how much Tyron’s game has declined.
THANK YOU!!!! TRY TELLING that to the people on here who thinks he's still 25 , he's a totally different player who gets beat, gets beat badly too at times

Thanks, came in to say this.

Not one reporter has made the claim that this is anything that will affect his game.

We’ll forget about it Sunday
You must haven't watched him in the last 5 or so years! He'll make it to the second quarter and you'll see him leaving to go to the locker room

I’m not going to argue about predicting his injury. All I’m saying is going on the designation list doesn’t affect his Sunday.

Not one report has indicated this being something he can’t go week 1 with.

I doubt it. Nobody dominates Tyron. Yes he's fragile but if he can play, expect a few pressures from a great pass rusher but not much more, maybe he gets a sack it's possible.
For a guy in decline Nick Bosa had 2-3 pressures and zero sacks against Tyron in the playoffs. Tyron was playing RT for the first time.
This is the biggest issue. Tyron is still very very good when he plays. He just misses so much damn time.

I know your not the one who I was quoting, but do you think 8mil is such a high cap hit for a starting left tackle in this league?
