I really like the way Tyron Smith plays. Love his quick first step. Love the versatility. Love that he is young and still growing as a player.

The more I watch him play, the more he reminds me of Kyle Turley. If he turns into half the player Turley was when he was in his prime, I will be one happy camper...

I don't see the similarity at all. Gotta say I'm scratching my head on this. Turley had about 5 good seasons, two of those were all pro years, but he was an extremely aggressive player who had several run ins, including threatening his head coaches life. They aren't similar at all. Smith is a better athlete.

Tyron Smith better have more than 2 pro bowls, I'll tell you that right now.

For one thing,....Tyron hasnt accomplished anywhere near what Turley has,....yet. Maybe he will,...but at this point its still up in the air.

Tyron will always be compared to JJ Watt simply because of where they were both selected. Just being honest here,....at this point Watt would mop the floors with Tyron. Thats just the hard truth of it all.

Having said that......I am still very happy we have him,...he sure is needed. I also think he is a player on the rise,....think he has a big future ahead of him.

Im just not into handing out accolades to players that havent earned them yet.

I guess if I had to make a comparison at this point, I would say that it might be D'Brickashaw Ferguson. Now, I think that there is a possibility that Smith can develop into much more. I think that Smith has a chance to develop into a player like Walter Jones.

Will he? Hard to say. Jones broke out in about his 3rd season and just continued to get better. I could see that for Smith as well but at this point, you can't say that this is what he will be.
