I'm not ignoring you, I just don't know.Dont they have to leave enough $ available to pay the incentives?
Yes. But remember, they are basically covering his incentives with the $11 million they get in savings come June 1 from the Elliott cut. Basically cutting Elliott paid for this kind of deal with Smith.Dont they have to leave enough $ available to pay the incentives?
Someone correct me if I’m wrong, but I think that only applies to incentives the player reached the previous year. Anything else is considered Not Likely to Be Earned and goes against the 2024 cap if reached.Dont they have to leave enough $ available to pay the incentives?
Those are paid after the season, I imagine. So, they may not come on the books until the next league year? Just a guess.Dont they have to leave enough $ available to pay the incentives?
Stop being so humble, we know you know.I'm not ignoring you, I just don't know.
For the record, he's right. I do know but if you haven't greased my likes count recently there's only so much information I'm willing to share with you.Stop being so humble, we know you know.
That's kinda what I thought. I like the restructure. If he doesn't hit the incentives the money can be rolled over to next year.Yes. But remember, they are basically covering his incentives with the $11 million they get in savings come June 1 from the Elliott cut. Basically cutting Elliott paid for this kind of deal with Smith.
Them counting on him being the starter is the problem. This is basically how much Dallas would have saved by cutting him. Good move as long as they don’t count on him as a starter going into the season.
