Even at 75% healthy, Tyron is a better option than Green or Bell.

It could answer the question of whether this offense is flailing because of the loss of Smith, the loss of Elliott, or the unfortunate timing of having lost both for 2 games.

But to go ffrom 28pts/game to just 8pts/game is a huge, HUGE dropoff.

I hope he's actually healthy and not pushing it.

Putting his health on the line in a seemingly hopeless playoff chase is silly for a dude with his sort of contract.

Speaking of Tyron, did anyone watch him warming up before the game the other night? That dude is a freak of nature! He is built like a LB, in a 330 lb dudes body. Amazing.

It's a soft tissue injury. If we don't put together a win streak, he's got all offseason to get better. Now's the time to play if he can.

"Soft tissue injury" sure sounds a lot better than "ruptured achilles", I'm sure Richard Sherman would agree.

You think the groom will lead to an Achilles rupture? Or just saying you'd not want to play starters at 5-5 for fear they might get hurt for next year?

Because I'd be more worried about a blindside sack on Dak at this point than an injury to Tyron. He's had almost three weeks for a pull now, and was close to ready last week.

If his groin and back are still bothering him, you might get that blindside sack anyway.

My only point is not to rush him out there if he's not ready just because we never bothered to find a decent backup swing tackle.

It will be good to return to having three first team All-Pros on the offensive line, which is apparently the new league-wide minimum to have a functioning offense (along with a first team All-Pro RB).
