Tyron Smith is working with the OL

I know we’re all sick of them taking OL in the first round, but we probably need to do it again in 2027 (or a well-scouted 2nd rounder).

I don’t think Guyton is a complete bust like Mazi, Taco, etc - but at the very least he needs more development than we have time for.

Look at the Patriots: saw Will Campbell flop in the SB, have publicly backed him to improve, and yet still drafted one of the top LTs in this year’s class, with a different profile than Campbell (length, etc). It’s called insurance.

Other options are obviously a trade or free agency (lolz).

Either way, if this team regards itself as being in a Super Bowl window (and they do), then we can’t wait around for ugly duckling Guyton to suddenly become a swan.

Sign him to be the swing tackle.
Probably still the best tackle on the squad, when healthy.

Proof that Tyler Guyton is an elite tackle.

Sacks given up by Tyler Guyton in 2025: 2 on 418 pass blocking snaps

Sacks given up by Tristan Wirfs in 2025: 2 on 441 pass blocking snaps

Pressures given up by Tyler Guyton in 2025: 31

Pressures given up by Tristan Wirfs in 2025: 23

2025 was year 2 for Guyton while it was year 3 for Wirfs.

Yet one is considered the worst tackle in league and is being singled out by his HC that his job is on the line.

And the other is considered one of the best LTs in football.

Either the numbers I’m pulling are incorrect or Tyler Guyton is being lied on…

Guyton:

A breakdown of his performance and statistics highlights the following:
  • Overall PFF Grade: 57.5 overall grade (71st among 89 qualified offensive tackles).
  • Pass-Blocking Grade: 50.0 (81st among qualified tackles).
  • Run-Blocking Grade: 64.9 (46th among qualified tackles). [1]

Wirfs:

  • Overall PFF Grade: 92.7 (2nd among all OTs)
  • Pass-Blocking Grade: 84.9 (4th among OTs)
  • Run-Blocking Grade: 91.6 (3rd among OTs) [1]
This seems more the case?

Love all these posters who think they’re NFL talent scouts lol.
Yo, good morning to you too! I can't find the part where I spoke about talent, I spoke about the LT competition currently going on. Do you wake up just to try to annoy others? Fun fact....I don't care what you think I think, or what others think...or for that matter, what you think. Go outside and enjoy the weather, and stop being so darn miserable in life
