Tyron Smith looks Huge

And he's still not a full grown man.....wow.....imagine what he'll be at OL at 30.

wait, i was categorically told he couldnt be any good because

1. he didnt play LT in college
2. he couldnt out weight on=

I had concern early on because of reports from USC that he could not keep the weight on through the season; and he was only around 285 even his last year.

However it seems clear that was a case of USC having a lousy weight training/conditioning program. He put on 20 lbs by the combine and it was all muscle; and he has added since then and kept it on. Not losing any quickness.

It is a interesting question though: how would he be as a DT?

When I saw the title of this threat I was thinking he had buffed up and had taken his game to Larry Allen level. But seeing that pic...scares the crap out of me. Guy has got a cereal bowl chest....flabby mid section. And in general looks way more soft than what he used to be compare when he came out in the draft. I hope that the Cowboys are smart enough to hold out before giving this guy a huge contract. 1 pro bowl doesn't mean the guy has made it. Would like to see @ least another season @ a high level before we make him the highest paid left tackle in the league.

Don't really know why I'm replying, but the heavier he is the more power he can play with/ more weight to anchor and stand up bull rushes. He's actually still extremely lean considering how much he weighs (probably around 320 now).

He was a baby at usc. Not going to put on a ton of weight at 19.

There's a very good reason why Tyron looks huge -- it's totally because he IS huge.

Any idea who the guy is behind Tyron? The one with the look of "dang dude…huff huff wheeze…thought we were…huff…that ain't right…wheeze…why's my left arm tingling."

All I'll say is that I'm glad Tyron plays for us. The guy works hard and it's obvious in his development and the shape he is in.

I was worried about how he would put on more weight once he got into the NFL and how that would affect his game but he has perfected it and has gotten into full beast mode.
