’Ive heard that it was a very good week health-wise for Tyron Smith in regard to taking practice snaps. In previous weeks, Smith has taken practices off in order to help him recover from the game. Smith didn’t need the day off, and that’s a great sign because they are going to need him against the talented defensive end Everson Griffen."

Practice Rpt.

Everson Griffen was a one time draft pet cat of mine. He was a 4th round pick back around 2010, IIRC.

Great to hear that Tyron Smith's back and hip hurts are diminished enough to allow him to practice steadily this week. He'll need his good health to be intact to face Everson Griffen who's one of the premier DEs in the NFL these days. Perhaps I should actually state that Griffen will be obliged to be at his best instead and just leave it at that . . . facing Tyron when he's healthy is a challenge not many DEs should rightfully look forward to. ;) Without question, it'll be a matchup that definitely bears watching.

They called him "The Freak" coming out of USC - I'm hoping Charles Tapper may follow a similar career arc as a high upside mid-round pick. Similar builds and athleticism.

I think EG is the kind of player that gets Smith more interested for a game. I'm predicting he gets smothered and is a complete nonfactor.

One of the things I think gets overlooked about this offensive line is that it's been dominant with Smith playing through back problems.

True stuff -- and to think he'll likely be healthier than he's been in a weels is encouraging to say the least. I'm hoping for a long day for Griffen.

Would've loved to see Sharif Floyd vs Fred Beard. Remember that draft day war room battle?

Green was really good when he had to fill in for Tyron.

true, but i will say I bet his back problems have been the reason for some of his additional holding calls.

Crappy refs have been the bigger issue. The one they called against Baltimore was a complete joke.

What's wrong with Chaz Green? What's wrong with his back? Is he ever going to be healthy enough to be a solid player? The time he did play early in the season he looked very promising. Hopefully these are all freak injuries and nothing chronic.

Thanks for posting, good news the OL is the wheels for the running and passing game. The Dallas offense goes as the OL goes.
