As Collinsworth said, baptism by fire. He definitely struggled tonight. He wont face a better player all year, but that was definitely a rough outing for #77.

But his TD saving tackle was a huge play that cannot be forgotten. The D stepped up to force a FG but Tyron made it possible.

i admit i was worried for him tonight going up against JPP, and on a couple running plays he got embarrassed.

but i look at this like his first game vs Philly last year when Babin schooled him.

he can and will only get better

and for his first real game at LT since i think his freshman year at USC he did an ok job

just work on those false starts

JPP is almost as good as Ware. Smith was ok. First game as a LT...he'll be fine.

Flozell Smith!

The tackle on the Romo pick was soooooo clutch though.

I just wish the announcers would get his name right. It's Ty-ron, NOT Try-on!

Pierre Paul is fast and strong... just an incredible player... playing against him twice a year will only make Tyron better...

Dude is still only 21. He will keep getting better

He's still got some footwork techniques to smooth out, but he's still just barely old enough to legally drink a beer. The Giants DL made some plays, but they didn't dictate the game. Osi and Tuck were rather invisible. I don't think they're the players they once were.

There were a couple ugly plays, no doubt. I saw him get his mitts on JPP a few times and end it, too. He also had a nasty pancake on someone early on.

I guess I didn't come out of this disappointed in Tyron at all. Maybe I should feel worse. /shrug

You might have been hearing Justin Tryon, the Giants fiftyleventh string corner.

Once we got the run game going, i knew Osi and Tuck were finished.

Smith is a battle man is what I like.....he does not get frustrated when he messes up.

He had 2/3 false starts and continued to remain focused.

Focused is the BEST part of the young players game right now.:starspin

I thought he had a very rough night along with the rest of the line. Thank goodness Romo is magic.

Outside of the penalties, he exceeded expectations in his first game at LT. Let's not forget that JPP is an All-Pro, DPOY-caliber player and even when he was moved off of Smith, there's still Osi and Justin Tuck, who could each be the main pass rusher on another team. The Cowboys kept both of them quiet (credit to Free too)

Nah it was on a few of the false starts. I think it was Collinsworth that kept saying Tryon, but was talking about Tyron and the penalties.
