He gave up a few plays today, but he was also on an inland the whole game and won most of those battles. Props to him.

I just want to give some credit to Smith. I think he has had had an off year and has arguably struggled at times. But on hat last drive, he shut down JPP. To the point that Romo didnt even worry about him. Seriously, thank you Tyron.

If he had not had such a dominating year last year, would we being saying that he's having an off year? I suspect not. He's still a very young OL and is going to have down times.

I thought it was a great battle between two great players. JPP won a few but overall Smith was solid with very little help.

No, and thats a really good point, but the truth is i will always hold Tyron to a very high standard.

That last drive, Romo could have read "QBing for Dummies" and then tossed the ball. That kinda time was incredible. Way good job Oline. Time for a new present from Romo and Dez. A new car would still be underpayment for the job they did tonight.

I disagree with anyone characterizing Tyron as having an "off year" - you need to remember, he is usually on an island against the top pass rusher on the other team. Romo almost NEVER throws the ball away. I think the expectations on the guy are unrealistic. He is awesome. You can't win/dominate on EVERY snap. He dominates on most, and does well on vast majority. Once in awhile the other guy wins a battle.......I have seen this same "Tyron struggles" sometimes too often this year - This guy is amazing. Now, so are the rest of the oline often. Martin has blown me away. Leary has stepped up, and Free has regained a ton of his original form... Sure, Tyron is gonna be beat on a play or two, all the best are and have been. But come-on the expectations remain a bit unrealistic on this board sometimes....

I think that last drive just shows you what successfully running the ball does for your offense at the end of games. The Giants defensive line had nothing left in the tank at that point. It didn't feel necessarily feel like it because we were playing from behind but we still maintained incredible offensive balance.

Tyron has been playing with a bad ankle since Seattle I am sure it is as close to 100% the season will allow.

Well. From the games I have watched. He looks good but he does look like something may not be right. Perhaps playing through some injury.

No complaints from me per se. But have seen him just miss more frequently the the other guys.

Perhaps due to the assignment or responsibility asked of him - perhaps due to some injury.

But would not say that this year he has been the best o line Mann. At least not from the eye test.

Eh, i feel like his technique has been off. A great LT is like a great db - focus and technique.

That's written by Eli isn't it?

You got Leary over Smith this year? I was thinking Martin, Fred, Smith, Leary, Free
Well, the line is playing awesome. I think Tyron has been 2nd or 3rd best this year, I just meant that it can probably be argued that Leary has had a better year.

The offensive line dominated when the game was on the line. Tyron was a huge part of that.

I'd also look at it and say outside of the Texans Tyron has usually had the hardest job of any of the linemen. He beat up Robert Quinn who is a very good rush end.
